开篇 / Opening
2552年，人类UNSC旗舰秋风之墩号在星盟舰队追击下进入不明空间。舰长Keyes决定降落在一个巨大的环形结构上——这就是光环04。
In 2552, the UNSC flagship Pillar of Autumn flees into unknown space under Covenant pursuit. Captain Keyes orders a landing on a massive ring-shaped structure, Installation 04.
发现与冲突 / Discovery and Conflict
士官长在光环表面探索，遭遇星盟军队。他发现星盟在搜索某个被封印的地下设施。在Captain Keyes的命令下，士官长突袭控制室，试图了解光环的用途。
Master Chief explores the Halo surface and encounters Covenant forces. They discover the Covenant is searching for a sealed underground facility. Under Captain Keyes orders, Master Chief assaults the control room to understand Halo purpose.
洪魔觉醒 / Flood Awakening
在343有罪齿轮的引导下，士官长进入图书馆，发现光环的真正目的——激活光环会射杀银河系所有智慧生命。这是一个用来消灭洪魔的终极武器。
Guided by 343 Guilty Spark, Master Chief enters the Library and discovers Halo true purpose, activating Halo would kill all sentient life in the galaxy. It is a final weapon to destroy the Flood.
双重背叛 / Two Betrayals
343有罪齿轮试图激活光环——士官长拒绝。与此同时，Captain Keyes在星舰上被洪魔感染。士官长必须阻止光环激活、拯救Keyes、并找到逃离光环的方法。
343 Guilty Spark attempts to activate Halo, Master Chief refuses. Meanwhile, Captain Keyes is infected by Flood aboard the starship. Master Chief must stop Halo activation, save Keyes, and find a way to escape.
结局 / Ending
士官长启动秋风之墩号的自毁程序——摧毁了光环04上的星盟舰队和洪魔。他进入冷冻舱沉睡——等待下一个任务。
Master Chief initiates the Pillar of Autumn self-destruct sequence, destroying the Covenant fleet and Flood on Installation 04. He enters cryo-sleep, awaiting the next mission.
