The military is not monolithic — some have begun to question the morality of their orders.

The scientists are the most contradictory group in the quarantine zone. On one hand, their research has genuinely advanced human understanding of radiation and mutation; on the other, their methods have become increasingly unscrupulous. The X-series experiment project involved human experimentation, causing irreparable harm. But not all scientists agree with these practices — the faction is split into “Ethical” and “Radical” camps. The player’s choices will determine the scientists’ fate.
