Avowed Endgame Guide#
Rolling credits in Avowed isn’t the end. A cleared save keeps on playing, and the anniversary update added a second playthrough plus a photo mode. This page lays out what you can do at max level and how to plan for full completion.
Levels and Caps#
| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Level cap | Level 30 |
| XP needed to max out | Over 100,000 |
| Gain per level | One ability point |
| Maxed attribute | Pushing a single attribute to its cap unlocks the matching achievement |
The level cap isn’t high, but the skill trees’ depth compensates: freely crossing trees for abilities is worth more than dozens of extra levels.
What You Can Do at Max Level#
| Content | Notes |
|---|---|
| Clear collectibles | Totems, treasure maps, caches, and ancient memories mostly sit in midgame regions — easy to backfill |
| Clear bounties | Twenty bounties spread across the island, the most stable late-game source of XP and materials |
| Catch up on side quests | At late-game strength, many side quests offer no resistance at all |
| Finish companion content | Training courses and companion interactions in the Garden are easy to miss |
| Walk different endings | Use a save from before the finale to experience each route separately |
Second Playthrough#
The anniversary update added a second playthrough — Avowed’s main replay mode after the credits.
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| Unlock condition | Clear the game once |
| What carries over | Some growth and equipment can be brought into a new round |
| Added value | Replay the main story on a higher difficulty while picking up achievements missed the first time |
| Relation to new races | The anniversary update also opened more selectable races, so a second run can use a new identity |
Photo Mode#
The anniversary update added a photo mode that pauses the scene for free framing. For content creators it’s the main way to fill out a screenshot library.
Content Worth Repeating#
| Content | Notes |
|---|---|
| Seven Deadly Sins trials | Re-run them with a different build and they feel entirely new |
| High-skull elites | Returning to clear early elites late is a good test of whether your build holds up |
| Bounty targets | Reliable rewards, great for farming materials |
| Hidden bosses | Some unique equipment can only be obtained here |
Difficulty and Late-Game Challenge#
| Difficulty | Late-game experience |
|---|---|
| Story | Zero pressure, ideal for pure collecting |
| Normal | The standard experience |
| Hard | Demands serious gear planning and use of crowd control |
| Path of the Damned | The exclusive-achievement difficulty, testing both build and play |
The custom difficulty option added by the anniversary update lets you tune individual parameters — for example, raising enemy strength while keeping everything else.
Full-Completion Route Planning#
Full completion takes roughly sixty to eighty hours. The least painful approach is splitting it into one clear plus one cleanup pass.
| Stage | Goal |
|---|---|
| First playthrough | Clear on Normal or Hard while picking up collectibles and behavior trackers along the way |
| After the credits | Use the cleared save to backfill collectibles, bounties, companion training, and Garden interactions |
| Second playthrough | Take the opposite faction route for the stance-based and ending achievements |
| Specialized pass | Clear on Path of the Damned for the difficulty achievement |
| Achievement type easiest to miss | Why |
|---|---|
| Behavior trackers | No progress display at all — you have to count actively |
| Fully unlocked companion abilities | Requires spending every companion point |
| Full set fully upgraded | Requires setting aside a dedicated gear set |
| Faction-stance achievements | Conflicts with your main route, often needing a second playthrough |
Late-Game Build Advice#
| Goal | Advice |
|---|---|
| Maximum damage | Main weapon at the top tier with its enchantment done; stack Might and Perception |
| Maximum survivability | Top up Resolve and Constitution; run medium or heavy armor |
| Group-clearing efficiency | Area spells paired with crowd-pulling abilities; pick a taunting companion |
| Achievement efficiency | Keep a dedicated set of light armor for the full-upgrade achievements |
