Achievements & Trophies#
Monster Hunter Wilds has 50 trophies on PlayStation 5: 1 Platinum, 2 Gold, 11 Silver and 36 Bronze, 13 of which are hidden. The Platinum trophy is “Eastward Wings,” earned by unlocking every other trophy. This page lists the official conditions trophy by trophy and lays out a four-stage platinum route.
Trophy Structure Overview#
| Tier | Count | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Platinum | 1 | “Eastward Wings,” unlocks after collecting the other 49 |
| Gold | 2 | The smallest tier |
| Silver | 11 | Mostly collectible and long-haul counter trophies |
| Bronze | 36 | The largest share; most unlock naturally along the story |
Confirm four hard facts before starting:
- Nothing is missable: none of the 50 trophies has a time window; everything can still be earned after the credits, and no condition disappears permanently as the story advances.
- One character required: trophies bind to the hunter profile of the character itself; hunt counts, crown records and zenny do not carry over between characters, so the whole platinum run must stay on one save.
- Time expectation: roughly 75-100 hours from a fresh save to full completion; the main story covers only part of that, with the rest spent on endgame collecting and cleanup.
- No difficulty trophies, no DLC trophy pack: no trophy requires clearing challenges on a specific difficulty; as of July 2026 no DLC has added trophies either — the expansion is due in 2027, and any new trophies then will follow official announcements.
Story Trophies#
| Official condition | Notes |
|---|---|
| Complete your first investigation | Unlocks after your first investigation quest, obtained naturally during the story |
| Complete your first mount | Unlocks on your first mount, obtainable right at the start |
| Complete your first successful back attack | Leap onto a large monster’s back and complete the back attack |
| Sniper: hit a weak point or Wound in Focus Mode | One hit is enough; any single Focus Mode strike that lands pops the trophy |
| Catch your first Giant Squid | Hook a Giant Squid at a fishing spot |
| Cook your first Well-done Steak | Grill the meat all the way to well-done |
| Complete your first BBQ | Finish a BBQ cook once |
| Follower: follow another player for the first time | Triggered simply by following another hunter in an online session |
Story trophies almost all unlock automatically along the main quest. The only one easy to misread is Sniper: the official condition says just “the first” hit on a weak point or Wound — one is enough, with no 50-hit tally behind it.
Counter Trophies#
| Official condition | Notes |
|---|---|
| Complete 50 quests | Story and daily quests combined reach this naturally |
| Complete 30 different side quests | Requires “different”; repeating the same side quest does not stack |
| Capture 50 monsters | Capture counts are tracked separately from hunt counts |
| Hunt 100 large monsters | Slays and captures both count; finishes itself over long play |
| Slay 50 Tempered monsters | Targets are Tempered individuals, accumulating steadily through the endgame |
| Slay 50 apex monsters | Regional apexes such as Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra and Jin Dahaad can be re-hunted for count |
| Slay every launch large monster | 29 large monsters at launch, each hunted at least once |
| Catch 30 big fish | The Fishing Enthusiast trophy: 30 whoppers in total, small fish do not count |
Counter trophies can all be finished after the credits. Hunt and capture counters grow quickly through routine High Rank hunting; Tempered and apex tallies accumulate steadily through endgame rotations (see Endgame Guide). The keyword for the side quest trophy is “different” — when picking up side quests, prioritize types you have not done and avoid re-running the same one.
Collection Trophies#
| Trophy | Official condition |
|---|---|
| Gold Crown Master | Earn all 52 crowns, small gold and large gold across the 26 launch large monsters |
| Mini Crown Master | Earn mini crowns for 10 or more monsters |
| Eastlands Explorer | Hold 10 different Rarity 6 special gathering items at once |
| Rarity 7 Forge | Forge 5 Rarity 7 or higher weapons and 5 Rarity 7 or higher armor pieces |
| Track Record | Activate every mine cart station |
| Millionaire | Hold 1,000,000 zenny |
Each of these lines has its own trap:
- Gold Crown Master is the biggest chunk of platinum work: 52 crowns across 26 launch large monsters, one small gold and one large gold per monster. Crowns distribute randomly by body size, so collecting them all takes long-term repeated hunts with no shortcut. The crown system is covered in Collectibles.
- Eastlands Explorer requires “held simultaneously”: the 10 Rarity 6 special gathering items must all exist in your possession at the same time — it is not a cumulative total, so do not rush to consume or sell them.
- Track Record is the easiest to miss: activating every mine cart station involves no combat at all, pure map-running, and many players only discover missing stations during cleanup. Check station activation once after clearing each map.
- Millionaire looks at your held balance: holding 1,000,000 zenny is a stock condition, not cumulative income — watch the balance before big purchases.
- Rarity 7 Forge is a dual-track condition: 5 weapons and 5 armor pieces at Rarity 7 or higher, materials from endgame hunts, naturally overlapping with stage two of the platinum route.
Multiplayer & Profile Trophies#
| Trophy | Official condition |
|---|---|
| Hunters United Forever | Complete 100 multiplayer quests |
| View 30 Hunter Profiles | View other players’ hunter profiles 30 times in total |
100 multiplayer quests is the most underrated number on the platinum list; leaving it all for a cleanup grind is mind-numbing. Build the multiplayer habit early instead: from late story onward, complete quests with exactly one other hunter and the Hunters United Forever counter moves at the same time — by the credits most of the line is done and cleanup is a rounding error. Team play and SOS flares are covered in Multiplayer. Viewing hunter profiles happens naturally in online sessions and at the Gathering Hub; no special scheduling needed.
The Three Hardest Lines#
| Trophy | Official condition | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Gold Crown Master | Earn all 52 crowns (small and large gold for the 26 launch large monsters) | Pure probability and time; cannot be farmed on demand |
| Mini Crown Master | Earn mini crowns for 10 or more monsters | Low spawn odds, but the bar is only 10 monsters |
| Established Hunter | Reach Hunter Rank HR100 | The cap is the goal; pure time investment |
Gold Crown Master leads the rest of the list by a mile in workload; run it in the endgame monster by monster per region, scanning the target’s size distribution on every quest. Mini Crown Master needs no plan of its own — while grinding gold crowns across 26 monsters, mini crowns on 10 or more will almost certainly drop in along the way. Established Hunter asks for HR100, this game’s hunter rank cap; like Rarity 7 Forge it is an endgame long-haul that is half done by the time stage two finishes normally.
The Four-Stage Platinum Route#
| Stage | Goal | Trophies covered |
|---|---|---|
| Story | Push the six-chapter main story to the final quest, What Lies Ahead; the clear lands at HR40 | All first-time trophies, 50 quests |
| Endgame start | Push HR100, forge Rarity 7 gear, stack Tempered and apex slays | Established Hunter, Rarity 7 Forge, 50 Tempered, 50 apex, 100 hunts, 50 captures |
| Crown phase | Focus on crowns for the 26 launch large monsters | Gold Crown Master, Mini Crown Master |
| Cleanup | Multiplayer, side quests, zenny, cart stations, fishing | Hunters United Forever, 30 side quests, Millionaire, Track Record, 30 big fish |
Stage one rides the six-chapter story to What Lies Ahead, collecting every first-time trophy on the way. From late in this stage, build the multiplayer habit and prefer grouped quests to pre-earn Hunters United Forever.
Stage two targets HR100 while forging 5 Rarity 7 or higher weapons and 5 armor pieces; most Tempered and apex slay counters finish in this stage.
Stage three is all crowns: 52 crowns across the 26 launch large monsters is the heaviest platinum line, and clearing it region by region, monster by monster, keeps it from getting tangled.
Stage four sweeps the leftovers: side quests up to 30, zenny up to 1,000,000, every mine cart station activated, 30 big fish caught — confirm nothing is missing and the Platinum “Eastward Wings” unlocks.
