Collectible Types Overview#

Viewpoints#

Syncing viewpoints unlocks fast travel points and reveals the surrounding area. There are 50+ viewpoints scattered across the map.

  • Unlocks fast travel
  • Removes part of the map fog
  • Grants XP
  • Marks nearby collectibles / Tip: after arriving in a new region, sync the viewpoints there first

Achievement: “Unlock the World” — sync all viewpoints

  • Unlocks fast travel

Viewpoints by Region#

Region Count Key viewpoints
Siwa 3 Oasis watchtower, temple platform, ridge sentry post
Mareotis 5 Canopus lighthouse, lakeside high ground
Alexandria 6 Great Lighthouse, Library tower, harbor watchtower
Giza 4 Pyramid viewing platform, beside the Sphinx
Memphis 5 Temple spire, Nile ferry tower
Faiyum 5 Lake island tower, oasis highland
Western Desert 4 Dune ridge platform, oasis water tower
Thebes 6 Temple tower, Valley of the Kings entrance tower
Cyrenaica 5 Arena stands, Acropolis tower

Sync route: start from the low-level regions and sync along the direction the main story pushes you. In each new region, find high ground first, lift the fog around it, then drop down and clear the area — it saves you from running the same ground twice.

Chests#

Chests come in two kinds: regular chests and special chests.

Chest type Appearance Contents
Regular wooden chest Wooden Coins, basic materials
Iron chest Iron Coins, mid-tier materials
Gold chest Golden glow Epic/Legendary gear
Underwater chest — In the water, diving required
Hidden chest Not obvious in the environment Special rare items
  1. Some chests sit behind destructible walls

  2. Unexplored areas of the map are marked with question marks

  3. Use Senu to mark them from above

Chests by Region#

Region Regular chests Gold chests Hidden chests
Siwa 25 2 1
Mareotis 40 3 1
Alexandria 45 4 2
Giza 30 3 1
Memphis 35 3 1
Faiyum 40 4 1
Western Desert 25 2 1
Thebes 45 5 2
Cyrenaica 35 3 1

How to open hidden chests:

  1. Most hidden chests sit behind destructible walls — smash them open with a charged heavy attack or a shield charge.
  2. A few chests require pulling a lever or turning a statue mechanism to unlock.
  3. Hidden chests in the desert regions are often buried in semi-transparent sand pits on the surface; a Senu scan highlights them for you.
  4. Hidden chests always contain Epic-or-better gear, so they take priority over regular chests.

Stone Circles#

Stone circles are puzzle-type collectibles spread across Egypt. You need to stand at the right angle and align the shape of the massive rock in the sky with the silhouette on the stone circle.

Stone Circle Locations#

# Name Region Rec. Level Reward
1 Guardian of Siwa Siwa 2 Skill point
2 Circle of the Heron Mareotis 10 Skill point
3 Eye of Alexandria Alexandria 14 Skill point
4 Star of the Delta Nile Delta 18 Skill point
5 Shadow of the Pyramids Giza 22 Skill point
6 Circle of Memphis Memphis 24 Skill point
7 Moon of Faiyum Faiyum 28 Skill point
8 Eye of the Desert Western Desert 30 Skill point
9 Star of Thebes Thebes 32 Skill point
10 Circle of the Hunter Cyrenaica 36 Skill point
11 Circle of the Warrior Cyrenaica battlefield 38 Skill point
12 Circle of the Hidden Ones Alexandria 40 Skill point + Legendary gear

Stone Circle Solutions#

  1. Stand in the center of the stone circle
  2. Look up and find the massive cracked boulder in the sky
  3. Move around until the shape projected by the boulder lines up exactly with the silhouette on the stone circle
  4. Once aligned, the animation triggers automatically
  5. You receive a skill point reward / Tip: stand dead center in the circle and adjust by stepping backward — it makes alignment much easier

Reward for Completing All Stone Circles#

After completing all 12 stone circles, you can claim a set of Legendary gear in the hidden chamber of the Sphinx.

Alignment Tips#

  1. Stand dead center in the stone circle, lock onto the boulder’s direction first, then back away step by step.
  2. Use the right stick or the mouse to fine-tune your position slowly; do not turn around during the alignment.
  3. When golden flecks of light start flashing on screen, you are very close — make one final small adjustment.
  4. Some stone circles sit on steep slopes, so make sure you stand on flat ground before aligning.

Ancient Pottery Shards#

Ancient pottery shards are relics of ancient Egyptian civilization — 20 in total. Once collected, they can activate hidden chests at specific locations

  • Tomb exploration (10 shards)

  • Side quest rewards (3 shards)

Activation location: after collecting every shard, the final treasure can be activated at a specific temple

Reward: a Legendary gear set

Feathers#

  • Use Senu to spot feathers much more easily from the air

  • Feathers emit a faint white glow

  • Some feathers sit in high places and require climbing

  • Some feathers sit on the water and require swimming / Reward: special outfits unlock once you collect certain amounts

  • Use Senu from the air to find feather locations more easily

Count Reward
20 Special accessory
50 Epic gear
100 Legendary pharaoh outfit

Feather Locations by Region#

Region Feather count Recommended collection method
Siwa 8 Climb the palms and rooftops high above the oasis
Alexandria 15 Scale the outer walls of the Lighthouse and the Library
Giza 10 Pyramid slopes and the area around the Sphinx
Memphis 12 Temple beams and columns and the Sphinx statues
Faiyum 12 Lake island and oasis treetops
Thebes 15 Valley of the Kings cliffs and temple rooftops
Cyrenaica 10 Acropolis and arena stands
Western Desert 18 Oasis water towers and dune ridges

Suggested collection order: feathers overlap heavily with viewpoints. While syncing a viewpoint, glance around from the top — most feathers are already within sight. Mark them with Senu and grab them all in one sweep for the least effort.

Silica#

Silica is a special material collected inside tombs, used to upgrade gear in the First Civilization chambers.

Quantity: about 50 pieces Distribution: 1-3 pieces per tomb Use: activating the special effects of First Civilization gear

  • Faster health regeneration
  • Higher attack power
  • Special abilities unlocked
  • Special abilities must be unlocked through specific quests

Silica Upgrade Effects Overview#

Upgrade Silica cost Effect
Health Regen I 5 Fast health regeneration out of combat
Health Regen II 10 Slow health regeneration in combat
Attack Boost I 5 Attack power +10%
Attack Boost II 10 Attack power +20%
Defense Boost I 5 Damage taken -10%
Defense Boost II 10 Damage taken -20%

Upgrade priority: resources are tight in the early game, so max out Health Regen I and Attack Boost I first — the smallest investment with the most visible returns. Spend the remaining silica according to your combat habits: defensive players should prioritize the defense line, aggressive players the attack line.

Tombs#

Tombs are the most important collectible facilities in Assassin’s Creed Origins — they grant skill points and XP, and they are also the main source of silica.

Tomb Overview#

# Tomb name Region Rec. Level Reward
1 Tomb of the Sleeper Siwa 3 Skill point, silica
2 Tomb of Set Mareotis 10 Skill point, silica
3 Beneath the Temple of Anubis Alexandria 15 Skill point, silica
4 Hidden Chamber of the Sphinx Giza 22 Skill point, silica
5 Pyramid of Djoser Memphis 24 Skill point, silica
6 Tomb of Merenre Faiyum 28 Skill point, silica
7 Royal Desert Tomb Western Desert 30 Skill point, silica
8 Great Tomb of the Valley of the Kings Thebes 34 Skill point, silica
9 Burial Chamber of Tutankhamun Thebes 36 Skill point, silica
10 Ancient Tomb of Cyrenaica Cyrenaica 38 Skill point, silica

Tomb raiding notes: tomb mechanisms are mostly push rods, rotating statues, and pit traps — stepping into a pit causes fall damage, so watch the floor seams. Some tomb entrances hide behind waterfalls or collapsed walls; circle around with Senu to find the glinting entrance. Loot every piece of silica inside each tomb — do not leave with just the skill point.

Papyrus Puzzles#

There are 19 papyrus puzzles in total. Each riddle describes a landmark in text, and you must follow the hints to find the hidden chest.

Riddle theme Regions Count
Waters and crossings Along the Nile 4
Temples and statues Giza, Memphis, Thebes 6
Desert landmarks Western Desert 4
Town buildings Alexandria, Cyrenaica 5

How to solve them: the direction words in the riddle (north, south, upstream, downstream) are the key to positioning — combine them with the terrain names on the map to pin down the region. At the spot you will usually find a conspicuous chest or a mound of diggable soil; a Senu scan quickly narrows the search.

Full Exploration Rewards#

After fully exploring every region (all locations, chests, and collectibles)

Completion Reward
50% XP-boost accessory
75% Legendary mount
100% Exclusive outfit + achievement trophy
  1. Combine chest clearing with material gathering

  2. Leave tombs and stone circles for last (the richest rewards)

  3. Use Senu to mark every collectible

  4. Clear low-level regions first

Collectible Achievements#

Achievement Unlock condition Collectibles involved
Explorer Discover every location All map markers
Complete the Map Sync every viewpoint Viewpoints
Archaeologist Complete every tomb Tombs
The Giver’s Gift Solve every papyrus puzzle Papyrus puzzles
Of Stars and Seas Complete every stone circle Stone circles
Old Habits Open every chest All chests
Materials Master Collect 100 rare materials Silica, carbon, and more
Fashion Icon Collect every outfit Outfit appearances

Synergy tip: collectible achievements overlap heavily. Syncing viewpoints marks chests and tombs, and clearing tombs picks up silica along the way — plan your collection routes together so a single pass advances several achievements at once.
