Mount Stats#
| Stat | Effect |
|---|---|
| Speed | Determines run and sprint movement rate, affecting travel efficiency |
| Endurance | Determines sprint duration; you slow down noticeably once endurance is drained |
| Health | The amount of damage the mount can take in combat |
| Resistance | Reduces fall and collision damage taken while riding |
Reading the Stats: High-speed mounts suit travel and kiting tactics, while high-endurance mounts suit long-distance rides. Legendary mounts usually lead in both speed and endurance, making them the best all-round choice.
Mount Types#
Horses#

| Common Horse | ★★★ | ★★★ | Purchased at stables |
| Warhorse (Brown) | ★★★★ | ||
| Warhorse (Black) | ★★★★ | ★★★★ | Purchased in shops |
| White Arabian | ★★★★★ | ★★★★ | Legendary acquisition |
| Golden Horse | ★★★★★ | ★★★★★ | Legendary acquisition |
Camels#
| Breed | Speed | Endurance | Acquisition |
|---|---|---|---|
| White Camel | ★★★★ | ★★★★ | Western Desert quest |
| Black Camel | ★★★★ | ★★★★★ | Legendary acquisition |
| War Camel (Armored) | ★★★ | ★★★★★ | Purchased in shops |
- Black Camel — rare drop, highest endurance
Chariots#
Chariots mainly appear in arena events and certain main story quests; they are dedicated combat vehicles.
| Chariot Type | Traits | Acquisition |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Chariot | Balanced speed and handling | Rented at the arena |
| Golden Chariot | Gold paint, rare appearance | Cyrene Arena |
| Roman Chariot | Reinforced armor, stronger ram | Side quest reward |
Chariot Tips: Chariots steer heavily, so slow down before turning. Ram damage is extremely high, but hitting an obstacle stops you dead and leaves you stunned — always keep your route clear. In arena races, take the inside line through corners to overtake opponents.

Legendary Mount Acquisition#
White Arabian — best all-round mount: Obtained by choosing the horse in the Giza side quest “Spirit of the Desert” when the ending offers a choice between two. High in both speed and endurance, pure white with a silver mane, it is the best companion for exploring the whole map. Don’t rush this side quest early on — wait until your level is close to the quest’s recommended value so the fights aren’t a slog.
Shadow Walker — reward for killing all guardians: Unlocked automatically after killing all 10 guardians. A pure black warhorse with the coolest look, with stats on par with the White Arabian. Guardians are scattered across high-level strongholds in every region, so consider clearing them together with the assassination achievements.
Steed of the Sun — Trial of the Gods reward: Earned after defeating gods in accumulated numbers in the Trial of the Gods. A warhorse with golden markings, a rare collector’s mount; its stats are slightly below the previous two, but its look is highly distinctive.
Practical Tip: Once summoned, all legendary mounts immediately unlock their matching color scheme and trim with no extra purchase needed. You can also fight from the saddle, and the high speed of legendary mounts makes mounted archery kiting far more effective.
Mounted Combat#
Mount Attacks#
| Action | Attack Type | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Sprint + Attack | Mount ram | Knocks down small enemies |
| Mounted archery | Ranged attack | Suited to kiting tactics |
| Mounted melee | Sideways slash | Attacks enemies that come close |
| Mounted assassination | Leap-down assassination | Jump off when near an enemy |
Best Mounted Combat Strategies#
- Mounted Archery Tactics: Fire a light bow while riding at high speed
Mount Appearance#
Mount gear can change appearance:
| Gear Type | Effect | Acquisition |
|---|---|---|
| Saddle | Changes saddle color scheme | Stable purchase, shop packs |
| Reins | Changes strap style | Stable purchase, shop packs |
| Decorative Charms | Adds banners and tassels | Side quest rewards, shop packs |
| Horse Armor | Full-coverage armored look | Trial of the Gods, shop packs |
Appearance Tips: Decoration packs in the shop are sold as sets and apply automatically to all unlocked mounts once purchased, with no need to equip them one by one. Cosmetic items don’t affect stats, so just buy the color scheme you like most.
Achievements#
| Achievement | Unlock Condition | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mount Collector | Purchase all mounts | Buy every horse and camel |
| Riding Master | Ride a certain cumulative distance | Achieved naturally through normal play |
| Desert Rider | Complete specific conditions while riding in desert regions | Long-distance ride in the Western Desert |
| Arena Champion | Win all arena races | Linked to “I Am the Champion” |
Completion Tip: The Mount Collector achievement only counts horses and camels sold at stables — buy out every stable’s stock to unlock it. Take care of the Cyrene stable, which opens later, so you don’t miss it.

Mount Upgrades and Skills#
Mounts themselves cannot be upgraded, but related skills are found in the Hunter and Warrior skill trees:
| Skill | Effect | Tree |
|---|---|---|
| Mounted Archery | Allows using the bow while mounted | Hunter |
| Mounted Assassination | Leap down to assassinate when near an enemy | Hunter |
| Animal Companion | Unlocks bonuses related to some tamed mounts | Warrior |
| Mounted Trample | Increases ram damage | Hunter |
Skill Point Priority: Mounted Archery is the most practical early skill, letting you travel and hunt at the same time. Mounted Assassination pairs with a high-speed mount to clear field patrols quickly. Pick the other two based on your playstyle; pure traversal players can take them later.
The Role of Mounts in Combat#
Mounts aren’t just for travel — they have many uses in combat as well:
- Trample Damage: Ramming low-level enemies head-on can kill them outright
- Ranged Kiting: Use the horse’s speed advantage to kite enemies
- Quick Escape: Ride away fast when a fight turns against you
- High Ground Jumps: Use the mount’s jump to reach certain high places
- Mount as Shield: After dismounting, the mount can briefly draw enemy fire
- Splitting Groups: Ride through enemy groups to break their formation
Special Technique: Mounted Jump Assassination: Ride at high speed toward a lone enemy and press the assassinate button at the moment you jump, letting you bypass a guard’s frontal awareness and execute them directly. The technique takes some distance judgment, but a few practice runs are enough to master it — it’s the best opening for field encounters.
Mount Economy and Buying Advice#
Mount prices vary widely, and planning your gold well makes the early game much smoother:
| Spending Stage | Recommended Purchase | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Early | Common Horse, 500-800 | Good enough; save gold for gear upgrades |
| Mid | Alexandria Warhorse, 2500 | Clear speed gain, best value for money |
| Late | Cyrene War Camel, 4000 | High endurance, suited to long desert rides |
| Collection Phase | All shop mounts | Unlocks achievements and appearances |
Money-Saving Tip: Spend gold on weapon and armor upgrades first — your mount doesn’t have to be the best right away. The Brown Warhorse and White Arabian given by quests already cover most needs, so don’t buy duplicate mounts of the same type when gold is tight.
Mount Summoning and Practical Tips#
- Summon Range: Mounts can only be summoned on fairly flat ground — not on rough terrain or indoors.
- Auto Follow: After you dismount, the mount waits in place; if you run far, a whistle will call it back.
- In Water: The mount is automatically dismissed when entering water; swim back to shore and summon again.
- Terrain Use: The mount’s jump can reach some cliff top vantage points, saving you a detour.
- Night Lighting: The mount itself doesn’t glow when riding at night, so carry a torch to light the way.
- Desert Supplies: On long rides through the Western Desert, look for water at oases along the way — mount endurance recovers faster.
