What to Do After the Credits#
Rolling credits does not mean the end — the densest content in this game is exactly what waits until afterward.
| Content | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| A World Without Gold | Endgame chapter | Eight missions, opens after Sequence 11 |
| Four Legendary Ships | Naval challenges | Placed in the four corners of the map; capture the corresponding fort first |
| Great Inagua development | Base management | Buildings unlock and upgrade step by step |
| Four Rifts | Optional short stories | Spread after Sequences 4, 8, 11, and the epilogue |
| Full collection and contracts | Collecting | Clear region by region, cross-checking the completion panel |
| Fully upgraded Jackdaw | Upgrading | Requires every treasure map and the ultimate upgrade plans |
The Endgame Chapter: A World Without Gold#
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| Scale | Eight missions |
| Unlock | Travel to Great Inagua after Sequence 11 |
| Theme | Edward hunting the pirate hunter Robert Maynard |
| Connected character | Tobias “Deadman” Smith joins on this quest line |
| Output | Finishing the line unlocks twin side salvos for the Jackdaw; a story-exclusive sixth Legendary Ship appears during the chapter |
| Verdict | Some reviews feel it pulls the protagonist’s growth arc slightly backward; it is optional content, and players in no hurry to wrap up can skip it |
Legendary Ships#
The four open-world battles can all be re-challenged in the remake — ships that are sunk respawn over time.
| Ship | Location | Key mechanic |
|---|---|---|
| El Impoluto | Northwest, around Dry Tortugas | High-speed ramming — interrupt its charge with chain shot |
| La Dama Negra | Southwest, around Serranilla | Armored broadsides are immune — only the bow and stern take damage |
| HMS Prince | Southeast, around Navassa | Long-range mortars — duck into the fog between phases |
| HMS Fearless and Royal Sovereign | Northeast, around Eleuthera | A twin battle — keep the two ships’ health even |
| HMS Ipswich | Inside the story chapter | New in the remake; does not respawn |
Rewards#
| Item | Notes |
|---|---|
| Per battle | 12,000 reales |
| Extra rewards | Ship models for the Great Inagua manor, plus Jackdaw cosmetics |
| Full clear | Unlocks the corresponding achievements and trophies — a hard requirement on the road to Platinum |
Rifts#
Four optional short stories that, at their core, replace the original’s modern-day office segments.
| Feature | Notes |
|---|---|
| Format | Standalone “what if” stories mixing puzzles, parkour, and combat |
| Themes | Built around Edward, Blackbeard, James Kidd, and others |
| Rewards | Concrete goods: money and trade items |
| Required? | Optional, but tied to completion progress and some achievements |
Base Building#
Great Inagua is one of the game’s long-term management goals, and the remake gives it a clear growth line.
| Facility | Payoff |
|---|---|
| General store | Sells rare and legendary equipment |
| Tavern | Three minigames |
| Fisherman’s wharf | New facility in the remake |
| Treasure merchant | New in the remake, tied to the treasure-hunting line |
| Manor displays | Display slots for collectibles and ship models |
| Certain facilities | Provide combat bonuses |
100% Sync#
| Dimension | What it includes |
|---|---|
| Collecting | Fragments, shanty scores, bottles, manuscripts, chests, and puzzle items |
| Strongholds | Forts, warehouses, underwater shipwreck sites |
| Contracts | Assassin contracts and naval contracts |
| Combat | Naval challenges such as the Legendary Ships |
| Story | Optional objectives and ratings in the main story |
Special caution: the remake removed mission replay — optional objectives missed in the main story cannot be redone individually. Handling them as you go is the only reliable approach.
Upcoming Updates#
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| New Game Plus | Announced by the developers but without a date — planned post-launch content |
| Version patches | Updates fixing stuck missions, crashes, and save handling have already shipped; update to the latest version before chasing completion |
| Assassin’s Creed Shadows crossover | Shadows’ final update added the endgame mission “Black Tide,” linking the two games; the Animus hub also offers pirate-themed rewards and unlocks a Japanese-style outfit for Edward |
Do not plan around features that aren’t live yet — confirm the current version in the menu before setting out to sweep the map.
