Zero Dam Map Guide#

Zero Dam Map Guide

Zero Dam is the “starter village and evergreen” of Delta Force Operations: Normal difficulty has the lowest entry bar in the game (capped at tier-4 armor and tier-3 ammo), while Confidential difficulty, with its 112,500 Hafcoin gear requirement and the Administration Building vault line, has long dominated the mid-tier raid pool. This page covers the map’s difficulties, containers, extraction points, boss, contracts, and random events in one place.

Difficulties and Gear Thresholds#

Difficulty Entry gear requirement Role
Normal Low bar (tier-4 armor, tier-3 ammo caps) Tutorial map for beginners, random extraction points open
Confidential 112,500 Hafcoins Mainstream mid-tier raid
Night raid (Eternal Night difficulty) Follows night-ops rules Low-visibility special raid

Fixed High-Value Containers#

Zero Dam has 4 fixed high-value container spawns: 2 large safes + 2 hacking computers. This is one of the most guaranteed container setups in the game — as long as your route planning revolves around these two container types, your income floor is covered.

Code Decryption Rules#

Container Code format Decryption method
Large safe Five-digit code lock Decrypt step by step
Hacking computer Three-digit code Dot = 1-5, dash = 6-0

The hacking computer’s “dot = 1-5, dash = 6-0” is a decoding rule you must memorize — it turns the three-digit code from superstition into an observation puzzle.

Extraction Point Table#

Type Location / condition Rules
Regular extraction point Fixed locations Hold for 10 seconds to extract
Conditional extraction — maintenance tunnel Requires dropping your backpack Light-load-only exit
Conditional extraction — dam crest Carry weight below 50 / 30 kg Two weight thresholds; over the limit, unusable
Random extraction point Random location Open on Normal difficulty only
Breaker extraction point Administration Building / main substation switches Pull the breaker, then wait out a 3-minute countdown
Paid extraction point Pay in-raid Normal 10,000 / Confidential 40,000 Hafcoins, closes once 4 players have paid in full

Zero Dam’s extraction points are defined by “clear structure”: one regular fixed point + two conditional points + dual breaker points. The learning load is far lower than later maps, which makes it ideal for practicing the extraction decision process.

Boss: Guard Commander Saeed#

  • Spawn location: Administration Building.
  • Night raid note: in night raids he may carry an M250 or QJB201 — a completely different level of suppressive fire, so run night-raid Zero Dam against him with a heavy-firearm contingency plan.
  • Loot expectations: as a high-value boss with a clear edge on gold/red drop rates, the Administration Building fight is the core contest of Confidential Zero Dam.

Signature Contracts#

Contract Flow Key mechanic
Operation Wallbreaker Missile blows the door + drill opens the vault Two-stage: breach, then decrypt
Hard Currency (new in S9) Power up via the backup flood-release valve, open the vault Gas releases 30 seconds after the vault opens, packing window is extremely short

The gas timer on “Hard Currency” is the harshest time pressure of any contract: within 30 seconds of the vault opening you must grab the loot and exit the gas zone — decide what to take and what to leave before you enter. Do not deliberate on the spot.

Random Event: Main Gate Destroyed#

Zero Dam’s random event is the main gate being blown open: the vault door stands wide open, but the safes still require contract decryption. This creates two situations — squads that never got into the vault can skip the door-blowing step and go straight for the safes; but an open door also means the whole lobby converges here, and the fight over the Administration Building spikes sharply. Response principle: push in fast but keep an escape route, and confirm at least two extraction contingencies before entering.

Container Routes and Decryption Rhythm#

The value of Zero Dam’s fixed containers (2 large safes + 2 hacking computers) is “certainty” — but certainty means competition. Three keys to route design:

  1. Computers first, safes second: the hacking computer’s three-digit code (dot = 1-5, dash = 6-0) decrypts fast with short exposure, ideal as an opening move on the way in; the five-digit large safe takes much longer, so open it after the squad clears the perimeter.
  2. Decrypting is broadcasting: the noise of container decryption is effectively a position broadcast to nearby squads — confirm surrounding floors and window sightlines before you start, and keep one player on overwatch while decrypting.
  3. Speed up in event raids: when the main gate destruction event fires, foot traffic around the vault doubles — either rush in with the first wave and win the decrypt race, or wait for the first wave to fight itself and move in to mop up. Never enter mid-fight.

Eternal Night Difficulty Notes#

Two differences in night raids (see Tide Prison and AZ3 for the full unconventional-raids rundown):

  • Saeed may carry an M250 / QJB201, and the Administration Building’s frontal firepower tier jumps.
  • With visibility limited, suppressed weapon builds and acoustic intel (Echo) gain value.

Per-Raid Route Suggestions#

  1. Normal raid: spawn → perimeter container zone (servers / medical piles and other regular containers to warm up) → open small safes on the way → out through a random extraction point.
  2. Confidential raid: build up on the perimeter → Administration Building zone (large safes + hacking computers + Saeed) → choose the dam crest (watch your weight) or a breaker point (play the 3-minute window) based on your backpack and squad state.
  3. Night raid: run the heavy-firearm boss contingency, prioritize suppressive builds (see Gunsmithing and attachments), and extract through high-certainty regular points first.

Operator Fit#

  • Luna: arrows scan through walls into the Administration Building interior — first-strike intel for the vault line.
  • Hackclaw: the signal decoder sweeps electronic signals across the dam’s building clusters with high efficiency.
  • Sineva / Shepherd: the Engineer slot’s value scales up when holding the Administration Building through extraction.
  • Full compositions in Operator unlocks and team comps.

Economy Perspective Summary#

Zero Dam is synonymous with “guaranteed income”: a fixed 2 large safes + 2 hacking computers container setup, a clear extraction structure, and a predictable boss position — it is the baseline engine of Hafcoin production. Get this map’s Confidential raids stable first, then talk about the Top Secret tier of Brakkish and Space Base.

S9 injecting a new “Hard Currency” contract into this old map also says something about Zero Dam’s place in seasonal updates: the devs keep adding high-tier content to this starter-village map — it deserves your repeat visits.
