Longbow Valley 2.0 Map Guide#
Longbow Valley completed its 2.0 overhaul in the S11 “Stars” season (September 4, 2026), making it the most changed Operations map in the current version: waterways fully connected, a fishing feature added, radar-shielded zones removed, and train extraction rules reworked. It is also the most thoroughly reworked of the three “fishable” water maps. This page runs in the order “map basics → S11 changes → boss and contracts → tactical adjustments.”
Basic Info#
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Difficulty tiers | Normal / Confidential |
| Confidential gear threshold | 112,500 Koen |
| Boss | Hell Shark Reis (radar station or Queen Hotel) |
| Signature contract | Iron Dome (hack the air-defense facility, blow up the reserve station) |
| Random events | Plane crash event (a wildfire event was added in S6 and later removed) |
The Four S11 2.0 Changes#
| Change | Details | Tactical Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Waterways connected | All water bodies across the map link up | Water routes become new movement and extraction lanes; running routes get reshuffled |
| Fishing | Fish the waterways; catches can be listed on the Flea Market | New casual income line (see next section) |
| Radar-shielded zones removed | The original shielded-zone mechanic is deleted | Camping and stealth play that relied on shielded zones stops working |
| New train extraction rules | Gate opens 1 minute after the lever, then wait 3 minutes | Extraction becomes a “two-stage wait,” with a clearer interception window |
All four changes point the same direction: turning Longbow Valley from a “camping map” into a “movement map.” Removing the shielded zones takes away the fixed-hiding tool, while connected water rewards squads that use water lanes — players who know the old routes by heart need to rebuild their whole map picture.
Boss: Hell Shark Reis#
- Spawn location: radar station or Queen Hotel, one of the two.
- Core mechanic: a single melee hit is instantly lethal — the harshest close-range punishment among the five bosses.
- Matchup plan: fight from mid-to-long range and use open ground to deny his approach paths; if engaged indoors (Queen Hotel), create distance before trading fire.
Signature Contract: Iron Dome#
The flow is to hack the air-defense facility and destroy the reserve station. Compared with Zero Dam’s two-stage decryption, Iron Dome’s key is the placement of the “air-defense facility” — it is itself a high-threat zone, so running the contract amounts to openly showing your cards to strong enemies. Take it only with a full squad in good shape.
Fishing System (New in S11)#
Fishing is the signature casual feature of S11. The rules:
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Unlock condition | Operations Level 17 |
| Fishable waters | The waters of three maps: Zero Dam / Longbow Valley / AZ3 |
| Output | Catches can be listed on the Flea Market for sale |
| Collection element | A fishing catalog and a dedicated expansion case |
Fishing is the plainest realization of the line “winning in extraction has no single definition” — you can finish a whole raid without firing a shot, relying on the waterways and the Flea Market. For economy players, fishing is a legitimate channel that converts leisure time into Delta Tickets / Koen (catches go through the Flea Market — see Economy and Trading).
Fishing Field Notes#
| Phase | Action | Watch Points |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Confirm water locations and fishing spots | Plan fishing routes ahead once the waters connect |
| While fishing | Idle fishing | Threat level 2: fishing = stationary exposure; leave someone on overwatch |
| Wrap-up | Catches into bag or expansion case | The dedicated expansion case raises carry capacity |
| After extraction | List catches on the Flea Market | Convert to Koen; progress the catalog alongside |
Decide whether a fishing raid “fights or not” before going in: pure fishing runs go light and fast, in and out; mixed fishing + loot runs kit to the Confidential threshold. Both lines pay fine, but mixing them leaves you empty on both ends.
Extraction Points and the New Train Rules#
Longbow Valley’s train extraction changed in S11: the gate opens 1 minute after the lever, then wait 3 minutes. Compared with the old instant-open, the new rhythm gives three pieces of information:
- The moment the lever is pulled — the whole map hears your intent.
- 1 minute later — the doors open; only boarding now earns you the “3-minute wait.”
- The 3-minute countdown — the train’s dwell window; board before it ends and you extract.
The practical meaning for the extracting side: pulling the lever ≠ being able to leave; lever to departure is about 4 minutes in total, and this window is your highest-exposure period. For interceptors, it is a clear action clock. The map-by-map extraction comparison is in Extraction Points and the Extraction Loop.
Random Events and Responses#
| Event | Response |
|---|---|
| Plane crash event | High-value drops in the wreckage zone; confirm the crash site before deciding whether the detour pays |
| Wildfire event (removed) | Added in S6 and since removed — if an old guide still mentions wildfire, the content is outdated |
Per-Raid Route Suggestions#
- Opening: plan water vs. land by spawn point — with the waterways connected, boat lines and shoreline lines are two different rhythms.
- Mid-game: clear Reis at the radar station or Queen Hotel, one of the two (watch for an enemy squad holding the other spot); when a plane crash event spawns, weigh the wreckage zone’s value and position.
- Late-game: move toward extraction as the backpack nears its limit; on the train line, back-plan your timing from “1 minute to open + 3 minutes to wait.”
Operator Fit#
- Swift: wide-area map running plus speed-on-hit, well suited to the waterway movement map.
- Luna: arrows scout the radar station and Queen Hotel perimeter.
- Stinger: long-raid sustain, using Professional Rescue to remove max HP reduction.
- Wayfarer: the military dog’s chase mark suits open water zones; irritant spray forces positions on the shoreline.
- For team comps see Operator Unlocks and Team Comps.
Economic Perspective Summary#
Longbow Valley 2.0’s economy runs on two lines: the hardcore line of Reis drops and Iron Dome, and the casual line of fishing trades. With the 2.0 overhaul, the studio made the map’s positioning explicit — the main extraction battlefield, and also a place to fish and enjoy the scenery. This “one map, two uses” is exactly the sample case of the “shooting platform” strategy.
A final reminder: with the radar-shielded zones removed, every “shielded-zone camp” tactic in old guides is void — check publish dates when reading community guides; pre-S11 route maps no longer match the current map.
