Apex Legends Achievements Guide#
Apex splits its achievements into two systems: platform achievements (PlayStation trophies, Xbox achievements, and so on) and in-game challenges. The former unlock once and are kept permanently; the latter refresh each season, and anything you fail to keep up with expires. To clear everything, plan the two systems separately.
How the Two Systems Differ#
| Item |
Platform achievements |
In-game challenges |
| Do they expire |
No |
Some expire with the season |
| How they unlock |
Unlocked in one shot on completion |
Cumulative progress, claimed tier by tier |
| How they display |

In-game badges and progress bars |

Every season |
| Priority |
Work on slowly over time |
Must be watched within the season |
| Type |
Typical requirement |
Difficulty |
| Cumulative |
Total kills, total damage, total matches |
Low — just time |
| Single-match |
A set number of kills in one match, or winning a match |
Medium — wins lean on luck |
| Character-based |
Complete something with a specific legend |
Medium — depends on how comfortable you are with that legend |
| Team-based |
Revive teammates, bring back a teammate via banner card |
Low — easier in a trio |
| Extreme |
High damage or multi-kills in one match |
High — mostly feel and luck |
| Collection |
Unlock a number of cosmetics or finish a number of season tasks |
Medium-high — a long-term commitment |
An Order Sorted by Difficulty#
Start with the least effort and leave the luck-based ones for last.
| Order |
Category |
Why |
| 1 |
Team-based |
Rescues and revives happen in nearly every trio match |
| 2 |
Cumulative |
Completes naturally as long as you keep playing |
| 3 |
Character-based |
Falls out naturally once you main a few legends |
| 4 |
Collection |
Requires commitment across seasons |
| 5 |
Single-match and extreme |
Most affected by lobby intensity and luck |
In-Game Challenges and Badges#

Completion advice |
| Daily |
Daily |
Do them in passing; never change your play for them |
| Weekly |
Weekly |
The main source of battle pass progress — clear these first |
| Seasonal |
The whole season |
Do them in stages; don’t pile them into the final week |
| Legend-specific |
Long term |
Accrue naturally while you main your characters |
| Event |
Limited time |
Hard deadlines — highest priority |
How to Push Battle Pass Progress#
| Source |
Efficiency |
| Daily and weekly challenges |
Highest, and agnostic to playstyle |
| Survival time per match |
Medium — steady but slow |
| Match placement and eliminations |
Volatile — good matches pay noticeably more |
| Event tasks |
Limited-time bonus — do them when they appear |
Battle pass rewards run along free and premium tracks. The free track’s challenge goals contribute little to overall completion; you mostly accumulate it match by match yourself.
A Season-by-Season Completion Schedule#
| Time point |
What to do |
| First week of the season |
Clear every weekly challenge for the week and note the deadlines of this season’s limited-time challenges |
| Mid-season |
Check whether battle pass progress is past half; if not, add more matches |
| Split changes |
Claim unlocked rewards — unclaimed content does not carry over |
| Final two weeks |
Focus on limited-time and seasonal challenges; everything else yields |
| Before the season ends |
Confirm every claimable reward has been claimed |
The Easy-to-Miss Items#
| Item |
Notes |
| Event challenge deadlines |
Usually earlier than the season’s end — the easiest thing to miss |
| Badge display slots |
Must be manually equipped in your profile before they show |
| Cross-platform progress |
Levels and cosmetics carry over, but platform achievements stay separate |
| Ranked rewards |
Paid out by your highest split tier, tracked separately from achievements |
Achievements Not Worth Chasing Deliberately#
Some achievements hinge on extreme single-match performances, such as very high damage in one game or a multi-kill streak. The right approach is not to grind for them: keep them on a list, play normally, and they unlock on a good match. Changing your playstyle for their sake loses you both rank points and enjoyment.
A Checklist#
Before the season wraps up, run through this quickly: are this season’s limited-time challenges cleared, is anything owed on weekly challenges, is your battle pass level enough to claim the rewards you want, and are there platform achievements a single trio match could still cover. Confirm these four and the season ends with no loose ends.
How Achievements Map to Challenges#
The two systems are often conflated. In practice, some platform achievements complete themselves while you clear challenges; others can only be earned inside a match.
| Platform achievement category |
Can it be done via challenges |
| Cumulative |
Yes — almost certainly done along the way |
| Team-based |
Yes — just play more trios |
| Collection |
Partially — battle pass goals provide progress |
| Single-match |
No — must be earned in a specific match |
| Extreme |
No — and grinding tasks never gets you closer |
Pacing Recommendations#
| Period |
Focus |
| First two weeks of the season |
Clear weekly challenges and pick up the stable achievements along the way |
| Mid-season |
Focus on single-match and extreme achievements while your feel is hot |
| Season tail |
Fill in collection and limited-time items to keep them from expiring |
Grinding extreme achievements while your feel is off is the least efficient approach. Switch to clearing challenges or aim practice instead, and return to the single-match achievements once your form recovers — the success rate will look noticeably different.
