Progress splits into four phases, and each phase has a different goal.

| Beginner | First 2 weeks | Learn the controls, the maps, and the three roles |
| Advancing | Weeks 3-6 | Settle on a role and enter Competitive |
| Proficient | Weeks 7-12 | Build a hero pool and learn to answer enemy comps |
| Stable | After 3 months | Keep climbing and adapt to meta changes |
Recommended Daily Routine#
| Order | Activity | Time |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Warm up in the Practice Range and run through your ability sequences | 5 minutes |
| 2 | Play 1-2 Quick Match games | 20-30 minutes |
| 3 | Play 2-3 Competitive games | 30-45 minutes |
| 4 | Clear the daily missions | Knock out along the way |
| 5 | Review one match | 2 minutes |
Beginner Phase (First 2 Weeks)#
Week 1: Build the Fundamentals#
- Finish the tutorial
- Play a few matches on one hero from each of the three roles
- Learn the win conditions of the three objective modes
- Memorize the health pack locations on at least three maps
Week 2: Find Your Spot#
- Notice which role feels most comfortable for you
- Pick 1 main hero within that role
- Use the Practice Range to drill that hero’s ability ranges and cooldowns
- Try one full ultimate combo from start to finish
Beginner Phase Exit Criteria#
You are ready for the next phase once you can explain what each of the three roles does and you know where you are supposed to be standing.
Advancing Phase (Weeks 3-6)#
Weeks 3-4: Getting into Competitive#
- Once your account reaches level 15, play your placement matches
- Don’t rush to climb after placements; bank roughly 20 games first
- Track your death count and identify your most common causes of death
Weeks 5-6: Team Comp Awareness#
- Learn to swap heroes to fill the gaps in your team
- Get to know the key abilities of three to five common heroes
- Start keeping tabs on the enemy’s ultimate status
Proficient Phase (Weeks 7-12)#
- Expand your hero pool to 3 heroes covering two roles
- Learn to judge whether each fight is worth committing to or backing out of
- Start watching how patch changes affect team comps
- If your rank stalls, switch to a different role for a few dozen games
Stable Phase (After 3 Months)#
- Adapt to patch changes early in each season
- Keep one dependable hero who works regardless of the meta
- Watch ban rates and win rates instead of tier-list rankings
- Shift your focus from mechanics to decision-making
Growth Path by Role#
| Role | Growth Focus |
|---|---|
| Vanguard | Learn not to die first, then learn when to push |
| Duelist | Learn to disengage first, then learn to dive in |
| Strategist | Learn positioning first, then learn to distribute healing |
Weekly Training Plan#
| Item | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Main hero | At least 10 games per week |
| Backup heroes | 3-5 games per week |
| Fill practice | 2-3 games per week in an unfamiliar role |
| Review | At least 1 serious replay review per week |
