General Tomb Puzzle Tips#
Pushing Blocks#
- Watch the tracks on the floor: stone blocks can only move along specific tracks
- Use height differences: sometimes a block must be pushed onto a higher platform
- Combine them: multiple blocks need to be used together
- Reset mechanism: if you push one wrong, you can start over (there is usually a reset point)
Activating Mechanisms#
- Activate in order: trigger the pressure plates in a specific sequence
- Move fast: some mechanisms are time limited
- Synchronize: a few mechanisms must be activated at the same time
- Find the pattern: the arrangement of mechanisms usually follows a pattern
Underwater Passages#
- Plan your breath: check the route before you dive in
- Air bubbles: air bubbles along the way restore your breath
- Glowing areas: usually indicate the direction of the exit
- Beware of underwater dangers: crocodiles and snakes may also be underwater
Climbing Routes#
- Watch the walls: climbable walls differ in color and texture
- Use Senu: scout the entrance location from high above
- Look for torches: racks holding torches mark the route
- Use ledges: combine jumping and climbing
Key Tomb Guides#
The Great Pyramid#
The interior of the Great Pyramid is complex, with the entrance on the north face; keep the following points in mind while exploring.
- Entrance location: approach the north face of the pyramid from the Giza desert and find the climbable entrance
- Ascending passages: inside there are several sloping ascending passages; watch your step for trap pits
- Rolling boulder traps: boulders appear in the middle section; dodge into the side alcoves or run back
- Chamber chest: a small room beside the main burial chamber holds a chest and quartz
- Exit route: after exploring, leave through the opening high up on the east face, syncing the viewpoint on the way
Sphinx Secret Chamber#
- The hidden entrance lies between the front paws of the Great Sphinx; crouch to enter
- The interior is styled as a First Civilization ruin, lit by blue light throughout
- The core puzzle is activating three energy nodes in the correct order
- Completion reward: legendary gear and a large number of skill points
Tomb of the Apis Bull#
- A large tomb network beneath the Temple of Apis in Memphis
- Follow the main passage and watch for crocodiles roaming the side paths
- The bull sarcophagus sits at the center of the main hall at the end
- A side chamber hides an epic quality amulet
Karnak Temple Secret Chamber#
- The core puzzle is rotating the stone stelae to align the symbols; watch for hints on the floor
- The three stelae each correspond to one of the three symbol slots
- Once all are aligned, the central altar rises and a chest appears
- When finished, remember to collect the quartz and trinket inside the chamber
First Civilization Ruins#
The two First Civilization ruins are closely tied to the main story, and their inner structure differs clearly from that of ordinary tombs.
- Shared features: blue and white energy light patterns, holographic projections, floating mechanisms
- Secret Chamber Beneath the Temple of Amun: entered as part of the story, used to obtain the Apple of Eden
- Sphinx Secret Chamber: accessible later in the game, involving the legacy information of the First Civilization
- Puzzle core: mostly human-shaped projections indicating positions; activate in the order of the light patterns
- Reward traits: provides attribute boosts rather than simple gear drops

Tomb Collectibles#
Quartz#
Quartz is a rare ore collected in tombs and used to upgrade legendary gear.
- Use: once you collect a certain amount, you can upgrade legendary weapons and armor at the blacksmith
- Appearance: faintly glowing white crystals embedded in stone walls or floors
- Obtaining: each tomb usually holds 1-2 pieces, and chests may also yield them
- Map markers: using Senu to scout can reveal the location of some quartz
- Limited quantity: the total amount of quartz in a single playthrough is limited, so plan your upgrade order in advance
Destructible Walls in Tombs#
Some walls in tombs look intact but can actually be broken, hiding chests and shortcuts.
- Look for markings: cracks in destructible walls are more visible under light, and the camera shakes slightly when you get close
- How to break them: heavy weapons, fire bombs, or a shoulder charge can all smash them
- Hidden rewards: behind the walls there is usually a chest, quartz, or a shortcut to a reward room
- Combined puzzles: some walls require pushing a stone block to gain height before you can reach the crack above
Tomb Achievements#
| Achievement | Unlock Condition |
|---|---|
| Archaeologist | Complete all 15 tombs |
| Pyramid Explorer | Explore all three pyramids |
| Underwater Explorer | Dive into an underwater tomb for the first time |
| First Civilization | Activate a First Civilization chamber |
