Arena and Casual Modes#
Beyond the two main battlegrounds of Operations and Warfare, Delta Force also runs a full suite of arena and casual modes: 3v3 Red Rat Nest, 5v5 Black Tide Demolition, 1v1 duel rooms, a fishing system, and the Black Hawk Down campaign. Together these make up the other half of the official “gaming platform” strategy — not everyone wants to loot, fight, and extract every single match.
1. Red Rat Nest Arena (3v3)#
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Team size | 3v3 |
| Positioning | A fast-paced small-map arena |
| Strategic role | The 3v3 pillar of the official “gaming platform” strategy |
Red Rat Nest’s design intent is clear: pull “operator-skill duels” out of the long cycles of big-battlefield and extraction play and turn them into short-round, high-frequency pure combat. It fits two scenarios: drilling the fine points of operator duels, and polishing three-player coordination with a fixed squad.
2. Black Tide Demolition (5v5 Round-Based Plant and Defuse)#
Black Tide Demolition is S11’s headline new mode, with the Beta live since September 27, 2026:
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Scale | 5v5 round-based plant-and-defuse |
| Inherited systems | Weapon builds, operator skills, and the economy carry over |
| Honor Marks | Its own independent Honor Mark track |
| Rollout | Beta 2026-09-27 |
“Weapon builds / operator skills / economy carry over” means Black Tide Demolition is not a side mode detached from the main game — it drops the build and operator systems into an attack-defense plant-and-defuse framework. Players coming over from Operations or Warfare reuse their skill and loadout knowledge directly. The independent Honor Marks give competitive results a track of their own.
3. 1v1 Duel Room “Just Us Two”#
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Format | 1v1 custom duel room |
| Launch | S11 season (opened 2026-09-09) |
| Core rule | No deployment supplies consumed |
“No deployment supplies consumed” is the key design: the duel room is a zero-cost environment for aim practice and head-to-head drilling. Two players trade shots, review, and run it back — the purest aim trainer in the game, and the best laboratory for comparing weapon builds (same gun, two builds, head to head).
4. Fishing System (S11)#
Fishing is S11’s new casual system:
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Unlock | Operations level 17 |
| Fishable waters | Zero Dam / Longbow Valley / AZ3 (three maps) |
| Output | Catches can be listed on the Market |
| Collection | Fishing compendium + a dedicated expansion box |
Fishing’s positioning deserves emphasis: it is not a minigame Easter egg but a legitimate income line with a Market outlet — catches can be listed on the Market, which means casual time converts directly into Havoc Coins. S11’s Longbow Valley 2.0 connected waters lay the terrain groundwork for fishing (see Longbow Valley 2.0).
5. Play as Demoulin Boss Mode (S11)#
S11 also added a “play as Demoulin” mode:
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Content | Players become the Space Base boss “Security Director Demoulin” |
| Storyline | The “Polaris Watch” story line |
| Exclusive mechanics | Dedicated corridors and extraction points |
Playing the boss in reverse is a rare design in the extraction genre — you play the man with two automated war vehicles in Space Base, experiencing the map from the boss’s point of view.
6. Black Hawk Down (Solo / Co-op Campaign)#
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Format | Solo / co-op campaign (DLC) |
| Launch | 2025-02-21 (PC) |
| Subject | Based on the 1993 Somalia conflict |
| Origins | Inspired by the 2001 film Black Hawk Down and the 2003 game Delta Force: Black Hawk Down |
| Engine | Unreal Engine 5 (campaign mode) |
The campaign is the only purely single-player content on this “gaming platform” — no extraction economy, no multiplayer combat — which suits players who want to learn the world and gunfeel first. No console release date for the campaign surfaced this round; defer to official announcements.
7. Firing Range#
The firing range offers a free, risk-free environment to practice weapons and operator skills. Suggested practice order:
- Test every operator’s skills one by one (especially newly unlocked operators).
- Compare the feel of weapon builds (paired with build-code switching tests).
- Practice ballistics and recoil control (alongside the community ammo tier list to understand ammo differences).
8. Mode Picker Cheat Sheet#
| You want | Where to go |
|---|---|
| Short aim practice | 1v1 duel room (no supply cost) / Red Rat Nest 3v3 |
| Competitive combat | Black Tide Demolition / Red Rat Nest |
| Zero-pressure income | Fishing (unlocks at level 17, three maps’ waters) |
| Story and lore | Black Hawk Down campaign |
| Boss-eye view | Play as Demoulin |
| Team-coordination drills | Red Rat Nest 3v3 → Warfare |
The meaning of this casual-plus-competitive matrix: it is a tiered-retention design for a 58-million-daily-active-user base — since “winning” at extraction has no single definition, the officials gave every kind of “win” a venue of its own.
