Achievements Guide#

The achievement system of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 spans the Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies modes. Xbox and PC carry 44 achievements worth a combined 1000G; PlayStation mirrors them with 45 trophies. Rather than listing every entry, this page explains the counts, the structure, and the representative achievements — for the full list and exact conditions, rely on the live achievement/trophy pages on your platform.

Counts and Gamerscore#

The achievement count for this title is a precise figure, not a vague range like “around 40-50”:

Platform System Count and Score
Xbox / PC (Steam, Battle.net) Achievements (Gamerscore) 44 achievements, 1000G total
PlayStation (PS4 / PS5) Trophies 45 total: 31 Bronze, 10 Silver, 3 Gold, 1 Platinum

The two systems line up perfectly: the 44 achievements map one-to-one onto the 44 non-Platinum trophies (31 Bronze + 10 Silver + 3 Gold), and unlocking all of them automatically adds the 1 Platinum trophy, which is why PlayStation shows 45. Both systems track the same set of unlocks — progress does not carry over between them, but the conditions are identical.

Two reminders:

  1. If future seasons or expansions add new achievements, the platform pages will update the totals in real time — trust the page display at that point.
  2. Some achievements stay hidden until unlocked, showing only a name or nothing at all in the list. That is normal, and covered separately below.
  3. Gamerscore is not distributed evenly across achievements — long-term goals usually carry more points, so planning by score is meaningless; planning by unlock difficulty is what pays off.

Three Categories and Representative Achievements#

The 44 achievements fall into three content-based groups: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. The table below lists representative achievements per category with their unlock conditions:

Category Representative Achievement (original name) Unlock Condition Positioning
Campaign Case Closed Beat the campaign on any difficulty Granted simply by finishing a first playthrough
Campaign Case in Point Beat the campaign on Veteran difficulty The core gate for the full completion
Campaign The Puzzles, Mason Complete the safehouse puzzle Mandatory on the story path
Campaign Covert Agent Stealth-related challenge Tests patience and route planning
Multiplayer The Pale Horse Arrives Reach 500 cumulative kills in multiplayer Accumulates naturally over time
Multiplayer Podium Finish Win 25 multiplayer matches Achievable mid-grind
Multiplayer Return of the King Complete 1 Prestige Requires maxing your level first
Multiplayer Camos Are Forever Unlock a Diamond or mastery-tier camo The most time-consuming grind of the full completion
Zombies Culinary Delight Part of the Terminus main-quest Easter egg Team up to push it
Zombies Treasure Hunter Part of the Terminus main-quest Easter egg Same flow as the entry above
Zombies Bye-Bye, Dark Aether Part of the Terminus main-quest Easter egg The capstone of the Easter egg run
Zombies World Domination Part of the Liberty Falls main-quest Easter egg The Easter egg chain on the other launch map
Zombies Deadwood Part of the Liberty Falls main-quest Easter egg Same flow as the entry above

Beyond the table, the Zombies category also has a set of progress achievements with transparent conditions: 100 kills after using Mutant Injection, collecting 10 Augments, and killing 100 elite zombies cumulatively. Their criteria are clear and they keep accumulating through normal play — the “unlock naturally when the time comes” type.

How to Clear the Campaign Achievements#

Campaign achievements are the best first target of the three groups: a single story playthrough sweeps up a batch of them.

  • Case Closed (beat the campaign on any difficulty): pick Recruit or Regular difficulty and push the story through — you unlock it while learning each map’s layout along the way.
  • Case in Point (beat the campaign on Veteran): the tough bone on the road to full completion. Clear the campaign on a lower difficulty first to learn enemy placements and firefight hotspots on each level, then commit to Veteran; slowing down and leaning on cover is the basic rule, and on stuck sections it is far cheaper to watch enemy spawns and movement first than to repeatedly charge in.
  • Per-level achievements: each major campaign level has its own dedicated achievement, unlocked by performing specific actions or objectives within that level — the exact conditions are visible in the in-game achievements list.
  • The Puzzles, Mason (safehouse puzzle): the story returns to the safehouse several times; solving the puzzle there advances the plot, so it unlocks along the way.
  • Covert Agent (stealth): tied to the stealth gameplay — study patrol routes before engaging and time your fights carefully; the exact criteria follow the in-game description.

How to Clear the Multiplayer Achievements#

Multiplayer achievements share one trait: “they come with playtime.” The key is planning your long-term targets:

  • The Pale Horse Arrives (500 kills): a pure time-investment achievement — play at your own pace, no need to force it.
  • Podium Finish (win 25 matches): queue into the modes and maps where your win rate is highest and play toward the goal — far more efficient than blind matchmaking.
  • Return of the King (Prestige once): unlock it by choosing to Prestige once your level is maxed; for details on the system, see the site’s Prestige guide.
  • Camos Are Forever (Diamond or mastery-tier camo): plan around the camo challenges long-term and push through them weapon class by weapon class — see the camos guide for the full route.

All of the multiplayer achievements above come from the base-game achievement pool, so you can work on them at your own pace whenever you start; whether the list later grows with the seasons is up to the live achievement page on your platform.

How to Clear the Zombies Achievements#

Zombies achievements revolve around the main-quest Easter eggs on the two launch maps plus a set of progress-style goals:

  • Terminus Easter egg chain: Culinary Delight, Treasure Hunter, and Bye-Bye, Dark Aether all hang on the same main-quest Easter egg flow — push it step by step and they unlock along the way. The quest has many steps and low error tolerance, so team up and assign roles in advance.
  • Liberty Falls Easter egg chain: World Domination and Deadwood are likewise part of that map’s main-quest Easter egg, and its flow is friendlier for a first practice run than Terminus.
  • The progress trio: 100 kills with Mutant Injection, collecting 10 Augments, and killing 100 elite zombies. The first two complete naturally through normal play; elite zombies spawn densely only in high rounds, so fold them into your high-round runs.

None of the progress achievements need dedicated sessions: carry Mutant Injection in your loadout as a routine tool, prioritize Augment research each match, and watch for elite zombie spawns in high rounds — all three will advance in parallel while you practice the Easter eggs and push rounds.

For Zombies’ core mechanics, skills, and round management, see the Zombies guide.

Hidden Achievements#

A few entries in the achievements list are hidden — their unlock conditions are not shown on the platform pages, including:

  • Capitol Punishment
  • Buried at Sea
  • No Mo’ Modi

To avoid spoilers, this page does not go into their specifics; once unlocked you can review the conditions in the achievement details. If you prefer a zero-spoiler experience, treat this list only as confirmation that “there are entries you cannot see yet,” not as a head start on how to unlock them. How hidden achievements are displayed varies by platform — trust your platform’s live achievement page.

  1. First playthrough (low difficulty): beat the campaign, complete the safehouse puzzle and the per-level achievements along the way, and bank Case Closed.
  2. Second playthrough (Veteran difficulty): focus on Case in Point; the stealth-related challenges can also be wrapped up during this run.
  3. Zombies onboarding: run the main-quest Easter egg chain on Liberty Falls first, then take on the Terminus triple; meanwhile Mutant Injection, Augments, and elite zombie progress achievements accumulate naturally.
  4. Multiplayer long-term goals: the 500 kills, 25 wins, and the camo grind take the longest, so run them in parallel with your Zombies progress; once your level is maxed, Prestige and take Return of the King.
  5. Final sweep: cross-check the platform achievement page for what remains. Hidden achievements will usually have unlocked along the way; for any gaps left, prioritize entries with clear conditions that need no extra playthrough.
