Map Guide: Stella Montis#
Stella Montis is the first map added to ARC Raiders after launch, positioned clearly as an endgame region: the smallest map in the game, the highest loot density, and guarded by the oversized boss Matriarch. The community generally recommends waiting until level 25 before entering. This page breaks down its spatial structure and endgame play.
Map Identity#
| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Unlock positioning | Added post-launch, an endgame region |
| Map size | The smallest in the game |
| Loot density | The highest in the game |
| Player population | Mostly high-level players, the most frequent encounters |
| Enemy composition | The Matriarch plus a standing escort group |
Small map plus high value equals high encounter density. Every rotation on this map plays out in someone else’s field of view, so fast in and fast out is the only tempo available.
Comparison of the Three Extraction Points#
Stella Montis has three main extraction points, and the difference in their character is a textbook example of extraction design:
| Extraction point | Location | Risk profile | Best used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sandbox B Hatch | Southern edge of the map | The safest of the three | Safe extraction, first visits |
| Assembly Workshops Hatch | Right next to the top-tier loot | The shortest route to profit | Speed-farming blueprints and materials |
| Airshaft | A heavily contested area | High risk, high reward | A veteran’s gambit route |
The core idea behind route design: work backward from the extraction point to the looting path. Speed-farmers draw a circle anchored on the Assembly Workshops Hatch; cautious players go in and out through the Sandbox B Hatch, routing around the hot zones.
Core Points of Interest#
| POI | Type | Loot value |
|---|---|---|
| Assembly | Industrial core | High, a source of materials |
| Assembly Workshops | Production line area | Very high, the main source of Magnetic Accelerators |
| Atrium | Central hub | High, where foot traffic converges |
| Business Center | Office district | Medium-high |
| Cultural Archives | Key room | Very high, widely considered the best blueprint room |
| East/West Tunnels | Connecting passages | Transition lines |
| Loading Bay | Logistics area | Medium-high |
| Lobby | Public area | Medium |
| Metro | Transit node | Transition line |
| Medical Research | Research district | High, medical supplies |
| Sandbox | Extraction area | Functional area |
| Seed Vault | Storage area | High |
Two Key Resource Lines#
The Magnetic Accelerator Line#
The Assembly Workshops and the production line area are the main source of Magnetic Accelerators — the Aphelion and the Dolabra each need 3. The run tempo:
- Head straight for the Assembly Workshops on entry and clear the production line area section by section;
- Once the material is in your bag, follow blueprint discipline — it is valuable enough to justify a “fill it and go” exit;
- Route your way out toward the Assembly Workshops Hatch for the shortest haul.
The Blueprint Line#
The key room in the Cultural Archives is widely recognized as the best blueprint room in the game, and the Stella Montis exclusive blueprint set (Aphelion, Ailion, Deadline Mine, Seeker Grenade, Trailblazer, Pulse Mine, Gas Mine) all drops here. The run tempo:
- Confirm you hold the matching key before entering;
- Build the route around the Cultural Archives, using the Metro and the tunnels as transfer passages;
- The moment an exclusive blueprint drops, turn toward an extraction point — do not stick around to fight.
The Matriarch Battlefield#
The Matriarch is the difficulty core of this map; see Elite Enemies and High-Risk Zones Guide for the mechanic breakdown. The fight takes place on this map, which means:
- Plan the extraction first: confirm where you will withdraw to before opening fire, since you are usually fully loaded by the time the Matriarch fight ends;
- Handle the escort group: seven types of guards, including Bastions, Bombardiers and Rocketeers, respawn continuously, so the fight cycles through “clear the guards, break the shield, burst damage”;
- It drops the Matriarch Reactor: once you have it, extracting takes the same priority as a blueprint.
Speed-Farm Route Template#
A community-verified efficiency route:
- Enter → Assembly Workshops (first wave of materials and blueprints);
- Cross the Atrium quickly (read the foot traffic, decide the next route);
- Cultural Archives key room (second wave of blueprints);
- Top up en route at Medical Research or the Seed Vault;
- Extract at the Assembly Workshops Hatch or the Sandbox B Hatch.
Keep the whole thing inside a tight time window — every extra minute on this map is one more minute of risk.
Special Notes#
- Deposit management: the endgame map justifies a high ceiling on gear investment, but a full loss costs more in absolute terms, so gear strictly to expected returns;
- There is no such thing as a “safe stealth zone” here, so assume every route is seen;
- The pure PvE test window (2026-10-13 to 2026-10-20) was a low-risk chance to learn this map’s layout, detailed in Pure PvE Mode Guide;
- Riven Tides, added as a coastal ruins map in an update, still has community point intelligence being compiled; guides will be added once it settles.
