Where Winds Meet Boss Guides#

This page lists only boss information verified against online sources. Where Winds Meet’s full boss roster, HP pools, move lists, and drop rates are simply not fully documented in public channels. Older guide pages that listed “tier-6 boss rankings” or per-phase damage numbers were unsourced fabrication and have been deleted. This page’s principle: state where each verified boss comes from and how to approach it, and explicitly flag whatever can’t be verified.

Verified Boss Roster#

Boss Source Notes
Shadi Shen Longhu Ridge, Qinghe — open-world boss Also the first boss of the Shadi Jinglei team raid
Hei Caishen CN-server open-beta era content The developer once cast actor Ni Dahong in its promo short
Qianye Hidden Mountain finale antagonist Arrived with the Hidden Mountain chapter 3 finale (Ver 2.2, September 16, 2026), which includes 2 special boss fights and 2 open-world bosses
Qiongqi Shi Hidden Mountain related A Hidden Mountain character/faction name recorded on Wikipedia
Moshan Dao Hidden Mountain related A Hidden Mountain character/faction name recorded on Wikipedia

Beyond these, a complete roster (open-world elites and per-region story bosses) has not surfaced in official or verifiable sources, and we won’t invent names or numbers. The in-game bestiary and region progress screens are the most reliable way to audit the actual list.

Shadi Shen and the Shadi Jinglei Raid#

Shadi Shen is the open-world boss of Longhu Ridge in the Qinghe region, and it doubles as the first boss of the Shadi Jinglei team raid — one of the game’s verified raid contents, sitting alongside guild wars and multiplayer dungeons in the online feature set.

How to approach it:

  • Enter as a group: the raid is multiplayer content. Queue up in Shared Journey mode — the cap is 4 players, and actual in-raid coordination depends on matchmaking and your party setup.
  • Do the open-world homework first: Shadi Shen spawns in the overworld at Longhu Ridge, Qinghe. Learning its attack rhythm in the wild before taking on the raid version is the sensible order.
  • Gear up before entry: enhancing gear with Zhen Jade via the Dieyin system is the game’s verified growth path and a hard prerequisite for high-difficulty content.
  • Watch for qi deviation: if your character enters qi deviation mid-fight, remember the counters (waiting it out, asking players, visiting the NPC Doctor Zhang). Losing a member in a raid costs far more than in solo play.

Specific raid floors, boss HP, move damage, and clear rewards have no verifiable public numbers — no speculation here.

Party prep can be audited against this table (all verified systems):

Prep Item Verified Basis
Dieyin gear enhancement Consumes Zhen Jade; the verified gear upgrade path
Inner method upgrades and breakthroughs Consumes inner method insights
Martial arts style upgrades Consumes martial insights
Set piece bonuses E.g. Hawkwing’s 2/4-piece effects; set list on the Items and Gear page
Weapon combos Swapping weapons combines styles; a 4-player party should diversify weapon types

On party mode: Lone Wanderer and Shared Journey switch at will. A smooth route is to scout Shadi Shen’s attack rhythm solo in the overworld, then switch to Shared Journey and take the raid with a group. Guilds are the organizational backbone of multiplayer — raids and multiplayer dungeons usually need a fixed team, and joining an active guild sharply lowers the cost of finding one; details on the Multiplayer page. The full qi deviation mechanics and all removal methods are on the Combat System page; the unified prep checklist for Taiping Ling and Shadi Jinglei is on the Challenges page.

Hei Caishen (CN-Server Open-Beta Era)#

Hei Caishen belongs to the CN server’s open-beta era. During the promotional campaign the developer cast actor Ni Dahong in a related short film, making this one of the most recognizable pieces of the game’s marketing period. Its exact gameplay form — boss fight, live event, or story mission — is thinly described in verifiable sources; the CN server’s in-game content is the authority. Global players, note: CN and global servers run different content schedules, so rollout plans follow each server’s own announcements.

On the timeline, “CN-server open-beta era” maps to the CN PC open beta starting December 27, 2024 and the mobile no-wipe launch on January 9, 2025 — both well before the global version’s November 14, 2025 debut. That window, when the CN server ran ahead of the global one, is exactly why the Ni Dahong short film dominated the marketing period. Global players hoping to see this content should wait for official scheduling.

One more reassurance: the game is free to play with an official all-gameplay-free promise, spending limited to cosmetics. Boss fights gate you by difficulty settings and character growth, never by wallet; if you’re stuck, the difficulty advice below applies.

Hidden Mountain Finale: Qianye and Its Boss Fights#

Hidden Mountain is the expansion region opened on July 23, 2026 (chapter 1), whose chapter 3 finale shipped with Ver 2.2 “Perilous Eminence” on September 16, 2026. The finale’s antagonist is Qianye, and official information confirms the finale contains:

Content Count Notes
Special boss fights 2 High-difficulty battles tied to the finale
Open-world bosses 2 Spread across the Hidden Mountain region

Hidden Mountain itself is a multi-layered 3D mountain region with deep exploration — before the finale, learn its traversal routes thoroughly. Qiongqi Shi and Moshan Dao are also Hidden Mountain character/faction names recorded on Wikipedia; their exact relationship to the main-line fights has no further verifiable detail.

Structurally, Hidden Mountain’s verified sub-regions include Tianxing and Hutuo (Hutuo was officially teased in September 2026). Before the finale, work through the region prep in this order:

  1. Learn the 3D traversal routes: in a layered mountain, path choice directly drives travel and resupply efficiency; the full region picture is on the Map and Regions page.
  2. Raise your region exploration completion: officially, Hidden Mountain rewards curious players with hidden surprises — that exploration output converts directly into the gear and resource base you’ll want for the finale; see the Secrets page.
  3. Walk the mechanisms with Mystic Arts in mind: Mystic Arts cover both combat and exploration puzzles; scan the mountain’s mechanisms and shortcuts through a Mystic Arts lens first. Acquisition routes are on the Skills page.

On factions and characters: Qiongqi Shi and Moshan Dao are Wikipedia-recorded Hidden Mountain names, and among the verified sect-style content, the Mohist Sect also hails from the Hidden Mountain expansion. For Qianye’s story role and background, see the Lore page. For finale loadout adjustments (weapon combos, Mystic Arts pairing, set choice), follow the framework on the Builds Guide page.

General Advice for Boss Prep#

Based on verified systems only, no invented numbers:

  • Lower the difficulty first: multiple difficulty tiers are confirmed and newcomer-friendly; there is no shame in dropping down when stuck, and you can re-clear at higher tiers later.
  • Use weapon swapping: swapping weapons combines new martial arts styles. When one weapon stalls, another weapon’s kit often opens the fight up.
  • Mystic Arts aren’t just damage: they serve exploration puzzles too — sweep the arena’s terrain and mechanisms with a Mystic Arts mindset before the boss.
  • Split roles in groups: in raids and multiplayer dungeons, weapon-type diversity matters more than in solo play; a 4-player party shouldn’t all run the same weapon.
  • Mind set bonuses: gear sets have explicit piece effects — Hawkwing’s 2-piece is Affinity Rate +0.1% and its 4-piece is physical attack +2% on Affinity trigger (5 seconds, up to 5 stacks). Build around them to patch weaknesses.

Half of every boss fight is decided before it starts. Pace your gear and resource prep against this table:

Resource Relation to Boss Fights
Zhen Jade Fuels Dieyin gear enhancement — the hard gate before high-difficulty content
Inner method insights Inner method upgrades and breakthroughs; sets your long-term power floor
Martial insights Martial arts style upgrades; source of weapon-combo proficiency
Copper coins, Yaoyu, Changming Jade, Lingering Melody tokens Verified currencies and resources; acquisition routes on the Resource Farming page

On top of that, the “no-grind” shop offers weekly purchase limits — clearing those limits every week is the most dependable resource top-up in long-term prep.

Page Relation to Boss Fights
Combat System Full mechanics of weapon swapping, Mystic Arts’ dual role, and qi deviation
