NTE Beginner’s Guide#
This beginner guide covers officially verified information only: who you play as, where you join, what you can claim at launch, and where to download the game. For any system whose details have not been officially published (gacha rates, stamina numbers, exact launch-flow timing), this page invents nothing and defers to in-game or official announcements.
Who You Play As#
You take the role of the first “uncertified” Anomaly Hunter, whose professional identity is that of an Appraiser. You join Yiboen, a struggling antique shop, and keep it afloat by taking on civilian anomaly commissions.

“Uncertified” is an important clue for understanding the character: you operate outside the official anomaly-management system, and the commissions you receive are mostly civilian jobs the regular channels would never handle.
The Protagonist: Ling#
The protagonist is named Ling, an esper with a keen eye for the “singularities” of anomalies, joining Yiboen as its newest Appraiser.
One key point: Ling comes as two characters, male and female — the protagonist’s gender is switchable, and there is no single fixed “male lead” or “female lead” image. Simply pick the look you prefer at the start; official-linked sources (the Moegirlpedia character entry) document this clearly.
Companions You’ll Meet Early#
The Yiboen antique shop you join is the beginner’s first “home,” and its members are the earliest main companions:

Should I pick the male or female protagonist at the start?
Either is fine. Ling comes as both a male and a female version, the gender is switchable, and neither affects the main-story identity.
Should I start grinding characters right away?
The full character-progression numbers have not been officially published, and most community tier lists and build guides in circulation are unverified. Push the story and learn the commission flow first; plan your progression resources once official material is complete.
How should I plan my launch gacha?
Gacha rates, pity mechanics and specific banner contents are officially incomplete information. This site does not speculate — defer to the in-game disclosures.
My hardware doesn’t meet the requirements — what now?
No unified system requirements have been officially published, and this site does not register specific storage sizes or hardware numbers. What can be confirmed: there is an NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud version, worth trying when your device falls short.

The easiest beginner trap isn’t controls — it’s trusting unverified secondhand information:
- The game went through multiple rounds of changes across its three closed tests (Singularity, Containment, Coexistence). Test-phase guides are outdated; post-launch systems may be completely different
- Any gacha rate table, stat table or spec sheet that doesn’t come from official sources should be treated as reference, not gospel
