NTE: Neverness to Everness (NTE) is a supernatural urban open-world RPG independently developed by Hotta Studio (Suzhou Hotta Network Technology Co., Ltd.), the studio behind Tower of Fantasy, under Perfect World. Perfect World Games handles global publishing, and Iwplay (iwplay) publishes the Traditional Chinese version. Built on Unreal Engine 5, the Simplified Chinese version entered open beta on all platforms on April 23, 2026, with the Traditional Chinese and international versions following on April 29, 2026.

What Kind of Game Is This#

The stage is Hethereau, a modern metropolis. You play the first “uncertified” Anomaly Hunter — also known as an Appraiser — joining a struggling antique shop called Yiboen and keeping it afloat by taking on civilian anomaly commissions.

Around this city, the official setting rests on three core layers:

1. The world line carries anomalies of an “everdark” nature
2. Anomalies generate powers connected to the “eternal realm” and “oaths”
3. A mysterious colossal entity known as the Ring grows ever clearer in the echoes of the “prophecy” that is fracturing the present world — its true identity remains officially unrevealed

Gameplay Elements#

Narratively, the game weaves episodic incidents together with main-story foreshadowing, using NPC branch quest chains to portray the city’s human ecology. Combat supports both unleashing supernatural abilities and making environment-based tactical decisions.

About Hotta Studio#

Hotta Studio (Suzhou Hotta Network Technology Co., Ltd.) is a game development team under Perfect World whose previous work is the open-world game Tower of Fantasy. NTE is the studio’s new take on the urban theme — a shift from sci-fi wilderness to modern city streets laced with supernatural anomalies. Shop manager Xun appearing as “an alternate-dimension counterpart of Jiyu, a former Tower of Fantasy character” is an officially planted connection between the two works.

This game has no affiliation whatsoever with Genshin Impact (developed by miHoYo); the two are independent in both worldview and systems.
