Stardew Valley Achievements Guide#

Achievement Totals and Structure#

The Steam version of Stardew Valley has 49 achievements in total: 40 in the 2016 base version and 9 added with the 1.6 update. Console and mobile platforms may use a different achievements list; this site has not verified the counts on each platform, so treat the achievements list on your own platform as authoritative.

Scope Count Notes
Total Steam achievements 49 40 base version + 9 added in 1.6
Base version (2016) 40 The original set shipped at launch
Added in 1.6 9 Went live with 1.6 on 2024-03-19; individual entries not verified by this site

One important caveat: many “complete achievement lists” circulating online mix in fabricated entries (for example, quest achievements or stat-based achievements that simply do not exist). This page only lists achievements that have been verified. For the accurate names and unlock conditions of all 49, refer to the Steam achievements page or the Achievements page on stardewvalleywiki.com; this site does not list unverified entries.

Verified Achievements#

The table below lists the achievements this site has verified one by one. Achievement names keep their official English titles (check the in-game achievement list for localized names); g refers to the in-game currency, gold.

The Money-Making Achievement Line Explained#

The five money-making achievements (Greenhorn → Cowpoke → Homesteader → Millionaire → Legend) track total money earned, not cash on hand: every sale counts toward the total, and spending money never sets back progress. That determines the right way to play this line — there is no need to hoard gold; keep expanding the farm and shipping more, and progress advances on its own.

Tier Target Amount Where It Fits
Greenhorn 15,000g Happens naturally in early Year 1
Cowpoke 50,000g A normal goal within the first year
Homesteader 250,000g Reached once the farm is running steadily
Millionaire 1,000,000g Requires established high-value income sources
Legend 10,000,000g A long-term goal, usually spanning multiple in-game years

The gaps between tiers widen with each step: the targets climb from 15,000g all the way to 10,000,000g. The first three tiers are the scale of ordinary farm management, while the tenfold jump from Millionaire to Legend (1,000,000g → 10,000,000g) needs mature high-value production lines running over a long period. This line is also the group of achievements most tightly tied to how well you run the farm in a full-completion playthrough.

Hidden Achievements#

Achievement Why It Is Hidden Tip
Legend Earn 10,000,000g in total The size of the number makes it a long-term goal that advances naturally as the farm grows
Fector’s Challenge Beat the Journey of the Prairie King arcade game without dying A pure skill challenge unrelated to farm progress; treat it as a standalone practice project

Neither hidden achievement shows its unlock condition in advance in the achievements list — these are “you only know once you have done it” achievements.

Route Exclusivity: Local Legend and Joja Co. Member Of The Year#

Local Legend and Joja Co. Member Of The Year cannot be earned on the same save — the former belongs to the Community Center side, the latter to the Joja route; the exact unlock conditions for Local Legend have not been verified entry-by-entry by this site, so defer to the in-game list. To get both, you need two separate saves on two different routes.

Option Cost Best For
Single save on the Community Center route Gives up Joja Co. Member Of The Year Players focused on the content experience
Single save on the Joja route Gives up Local Legend Players who want facility rewards quickly
Two saves, one per route Repeating the farm-building process Players chasing every achievement

If full completion is the goal, decide which route the save will take before creating it — the route choice on a save is irreversible.

The Three Collection Lines#

Collection Line Key Numbers Linked Rewards
Museum donations 95 donatable items in total (42 artifacts + 53 minerals), 102 display slots Donating 60 items earns the Rusty Key (opens the Sewers); completing all 95 earns a Stardrop and the A Complete Collection achievement
Stardrops 7 in total in the game Collecting all raises the energy cap to 508 and unlocks the Mystery of the Stardrops achievement
Legendary fish 5 in total Angler, Crimsonfish, Glacierfish, Legend, Mutant Carp

Completing the Museum is one of the mandatory conditions for 100% Perfection, so the collection-line achievements are not just “a nice bonus along the way” — they are part of the endgame.

The three collection lines interlock: the Rusty Key from 60 Museum donations opens the Sewers, a hidden area, and the Stardrop from completing all 95 donations counts toward the overall target of 7. The five legendary fish in the table are Angler, Crimsonfish, Glacierfish, Legend, and Mutant Carp in that order; for catching conditions and fish-collection details, see Items and Collections, Fishing Guide, and Secrets.

FAQ#

# Question Answer
1 How many achievements are there? 49 on Steam: 40 base version + 9 added in the 1.6 update
2 Do the money achievements track your balance or total earnings? Total earnings — money spent does not set back progress; every sale counts
3 Can Local Legend and Joja Co. Member Of The Year both be earned? No, the two are mutually exclusive on one save; you need two saves to get both
4 Which achievement is the hardest? The hidden Fector’s Challenge (beating the Journey of the Prairie King arcade game without dying) is widely considered the toughest skill test
5 What is the Perfection achievement? Perfection (reach the summit), which requires 100% completion — a full Museum (all 95 donations) is one of its mandatory conditions
6 Do consoles have the same achievement count? This site has not verified the totals on each console platform; defer to the achievements list on your platform
7 What are the 9 achievements added in 1.6? The individual entries have not been verified by this site, so they are not listed here; refer to the Steam achievements page

Unlock Strategy Tips#

  • Prioritize the collection lines: Museum donations (60 for the Rusty Key → 95 for the Stardrop) and the 7 Stardrops are achievements that also feed Perfection directly — one investment, multiple payoffs.
  • Let the money line come naturally: The five earning tiers advance as the farm grows; there is no reason to stop spending on purpose.
  • Keep the skill challenge separate: Fector’s Challenge is a pure mechanical goal with nothing to do with farm progress; practice the arcade game as its own little project rather than mixing it into your main progress plan.
  • Plan route achievements early: Before committing to the Community Center or Joja, decide which route achievement you want — picking the wrong side on an exclusive achievement means starting a new save.
