| C39 | Devil’s Contract | All Devil Room items free — but lose 2 health containers after each boss | ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard | Unlocks devil-type items | Free Devil items = explosive early game. But health containers keep shrinking = late-game danger. Find Soul Hearts and health-up items to compensate |

Universal Challenge Strategies#
| Strategy | Description |

| Know your boss fights | Boss attack patterns don’t change in challenges — memorizing every boss’s patterns greatly raises your clear rate |
| Cheese strategies | Some challenges can be “skipped” with item combos — for example, in C12 (Time Pressure), a time-stop item can pause the timer |
| Mindset management | High-difficulty challenges may take dozens of attempts — each one is a learning process. If you’re stuck, switch to another challenge |
| Seed strategy | Although challenges don’t support seeds, some seeds are reproducible on specific versions — check community-shared challenge seeds |
| Window/resolution tweaks | For screen-interference challenges (C26 mirror, C32 psychedelic, etc.), adjusting window size or resolution lowers difficulty |

Hard Challenge Breakthrough Tips#
| Tip | Description |
|---|---|
| Character choice | The challenge fixes your character — but item combos can ease the difficulty — look for slow effects/“Stop Watch”/“time stop” |
| Positioning strategy | Stand between the AI and the enemies — body-block shots. Never let the AI out of your sight |
| Recommended items | Sacred Cloak (damage immunity each floor), 9 Lives, slowing auras, wide-area clear items |
| Mindset | This challenge may take 50+ attempts — every failure is a chance to learn the AI’s movement patterns |
| Tip | Description |
|---|---|
| Preparation | This is the hardest content in the game — recommended to attempt only after clearing the other 47 challenges, with at least 100 hours of experience |
| Opening approach | No starting item = carpet-search every floor. Save bombs for Secret Rooms — their high-quality items are your only hope |
| Boss Rush handling | Boss Rush means consecutive fights — no shops/healing in between. You must grab drops to heal between fights |
| Core items | Sacred Cloak, 9 Lives, Brimstone, Tech X, Godhead — getting any 1-2 of these makes a clear possible |
| Boss Rush order | Memorize the boss order — prepare counters in advance. Every boss’s barrage pattern must be burned into memory |

|---|---|
| C12 Time Pressure | Find the “Stop Watch” or a time-stop item — it can pause the timer |
| C17 Witching Hour | Use the “Sacred Cloak” to avoid getting hit — damage triggers the teleport. Or use the “Black Candle” to nullify curses? |
| C26 Full-Time Hunter | Find “speed shoes” or other speed items — speed is this challenge’s lifeline |
| C35 Vampire’s Embrace | Play aggressively — full-clear every floor. The more you kill = the more you heal. Don’t avoid fights |
| C36 Mirror World | Turn off the screen shake setting — reduces visual chaos. Use walls as reference points for positioning |
| C42 Speed 60 Seconds | Only take the necessary path — don’t full-clear. Speed items are the top priority. Some teleport items can skip rooms |
