Challenge wave A wave with restrictions (bombs only / time limit) Completing the challenge grants extra rewards

Coin strategy#

Strategy Details
Save coins early Do not overspend on the first 2 floors - bank 50+ coins - buy good items later
Items over supplies Unless you are nearly dead, spend coins on items rather than hearts/bombs - item upgrades are worth more than supplies
Donation strategy Deposit at least 10 coins per floor - unlocking Keeper at 1000 coins takes a lot of accumulation long term
Greed = more coins The “Greed” item makes killed enemies drop more coins - the economy improves a lot once you have it
Piggy Bank strategy The “Piggy Bank” item drops coins when hit - pair it with healing to farm unlimited coins
Do not over-hoard Coins not spent buy no fighting power - find the balance - buy 1-2 items per shop
Character Strengths Why recommended
Lilith Starting Incubus (copies tears) + Box of Friends Strongest in every mode - copied tears = double damage + Box of Friends familiar stacking
Azazel Flight + Brimstone Clears waves fast - flight ignores pits - the most stable and efficient
Keeper Coin health + starting coins Coin health = can trade health for items - the core shop-run character
Isaac D6 rerolls + extra bombs The D6 rerolls shop items - bombs open secret rooms
Judas High damage + Book of Belial Book of Belial boosts damage in the current room - efficient wave clearing
Samson Bloody Lust (damage stacks on kills) Wave mode = tons of kills = unlimited damage stacking - unstoppable late
Bethany Soul charges Soul charges fuel active items endlessly - extremely strong with Box of Friends / Book of Belial
Magdalene 4 red hearts + healing Beginner pick - highly forgiving - good for learning Greed Mode mechanics

Item priorities#

Priority Item category Examples Why
S tier Wave-clearing AOE
A tier Summons/offense Box of Friends, Incubus, Hive Mind, 20/20, Mutant Spider, high fire rate items Summons auto-attack and stack - the more waves, the stronger
B tier Survival/economy Holy Mantle, Dead Cat, Greed, Piggy Bank, soul heart stacks, healing items Keeps you alive and solvent - but less direct combat power than S/A
C tier Single-target/utility Plain damage up, fire rate up, speed up, card enhancements, key/bomb related Basic stat boosts - useful but not game-changing
F tier Traps

Greed Mode-specific strategies#

Strategy Details
Corner clustering Hide in a room corner - enemies cluster up - wipe them all with one AOE
Perimeter loops Circle the room’s edge - line the enemies up - pierce several with a piercing weapon
Shop refresh Leave and re-enter to refresh shop items - but each refresh costs coins (starting at 1-2 coins, increasing)
Donation rhythm Donate right after waves 1-2 each floor - so you do not forget later or get interrupted by the Boss
Save chest waves for last Chests dropped by chest waves can wait until after shopping - avoid opening duplicate items
Do not rush the Boss Buy everything from the shop before the Boss - no buying after it dies
Use pills/cards promptly Spend pills/cards/trinkets between waves - do not hoard them - Greed Mode moves fast

Greedier Mode#

Greedier is the hard version of Greed Mode - unlocked by defeating Ultra Greed in Greed Mode

Difference Greed Mode Greedier Mode
Enemy health Standard 1.5x
Enemy damage Standard 2x
Wave count 8-12 waves/floor 10-16 waves/floor
Boss wave Single Boss Double Boss (later floors)
Final Boss Ultra Greed Ultra Greedier
Shop prices Standard 1.5x
Item refresh fee Starts at 1 coin Starts at 5 coins
Drop rates Standard Lowered
Unlock requirement Unlocked by default Defeat Ultra Greed

Greedier Mode strategies#

Strategy Details
The first two floors decide it all Greedier’s first two floors are the most critical - survive and grab core items or the run is over - a weak start on the first two floors = restart
Double-careful positioning Doubled enemy damage = mistakes cost dearly. Do not overextend - positioning first
Prepare for double Boss waves Double Boss waves on later floors are extremely dangerous - keep one screen-wide trump card (a Devil Card / nuke-style item)
Tighter economy management Pricier items + higher refresh fees = every coin must be budgeted. Refresh less early, shop hard late
Survival > damage In Greedier, health/soul hearts/shield items outrank damage items - staying alive is how you deal damage
A narrower character pool Only the strongest characters (Lilith/Azazel/Bethany) post decent win rates - most others struggle badly in Greedier

Ultra Greed#

Property Ultra Greed Ultra Greedier
Summon ability Summons normal enemies Summons elites + more enemies
AOE blast Medium radius Large radius
Invulnerability window Brief Longer

How to fight Ultra Greed#

Phase Attack pattern Counter
Phase 1 Fires fan-shaped coin barrages - summons minions Circle the room’s edge - coin barrages thin out at range. Clear minions to cut interference
Phase 2 Charge attack + 360-degree coin explosion Sidestep when he winds up a charge. Hide in a room corner during coin explosions
Phase 3 (Greedier) Triple charge combo + elite summons Predict charge paths - never stop moving. Kill elite adds first
General tips Save healing/protection items for the Boss fight Holy Mantle, Dead Cat, soul heart stacks - make sure you have at least 5+ soul hearts before the Boss

Greed Mode economy guide#

Economy phase Goal Strategy
Early (floors 1-2) Survive + bank coins Buy only S/A tier items. Bank the rest. Deposit 5-10 coins per donation visit
Mid (floors 3-4) Start spending to upgrade Buy the right items to upgrade the build. Start using shop refreshes to hunt key items
Late (floors 5-6) All-in on the Boss Buy anything that boosts combat power - hoarded coins are useless now. Make sure you have a healing source
Final Boss fight Save your trump cards If luck handed you a “Chaos Card” (Chaos Card) or “Devil Card” (Devil Card) - save them for Ultra Greed
