Main Story Bosses#
Doomsday Beast#
Strategy: Prioritize breaking the leg weaknesses to stagger it, watch out for its full-screen attacks and keep your healing ready.

Main Story Boss Deep Dives#
Doomsday Beast Full Breakdown#
The Doomsday Beast is the first major boss of the Jarilo-VI arc, and the fight where many newcomers first learn why “weakness break” matters. It has Fire, Lightning and Wind weaknesses; before the fight, confirm your team covers at least two of those types.
- Phase one: the Doomsday Beast periodically uses an energy charge skill; during the cast its toughness bar flickers. Concentrating toughness damage here interrupts its Ultimate, and a successful interrupt briefly puts it in a vulnerable state.
- Phase two: below half health it enters berserk mode, attacking faster and summoning small Mara-Struck adds. The adds buff the main body, so clearing them beats tanking the extra damage.
- Notes: keep the team above half HP throughout — the phase-two full-screen shockwave hits extremely hard. Your healer should hold their Ultimate for the wave.
Cocolia Full Breakdown#
Cocolia’s weaknesses are Fire, Lightning and Wind, the fight has two phases, and her kit revolves around “freezing”.
- Phase one: she keeps summoning ice spikes and Everwinter Guardians. Ice spikes telegraph with red warning circles — dodge them by repositioning. The guardians shield Cocolia, so kill them first to interrupt her casts.
- Phase two: she enters her frozen state and casts a Frost Nova; you must break her toughness with a skill or Ultimate during the cast, or the whole team is frozen for a full turn. Bring March 7th or Natasha for cleanse and dispel.
Phantylia Full Breakdown#
Phantylia is the core boss of the Xianzhou arc, with very broad Fire, Lightning, Wind and Quantum weaknesses. Her core mechanics are “summoning Mara-Struck soldiers” and “charging her Ultimate”.
- Mara-Struck soldiers: she periodically summons soldiers, and each one on the field grants her a damage bonus. Ignoring them to burn the main body guts your damage.
- Charged Ultimate: light effects around her body telegraph the charge; hit her with high toughness-damage skills to interrupt, and she’ll stagger into a weakened state — the best window for your main DPS.
- Recommendation: bring a Quantum or Fire character so you always have a usable toughness-breaking tool in any phase.
The Great Septimus Full Breakdown#
The Great Septimus is the final boss of the Penacony arc, mechanically complex and demanding on team investment. The fight spans multiple phases, and each transition comes with a full-screen attack.
- Phase-transition protection: hold a shield and healing Ultimate before every transition. The full-screen attack is followed by rapid basic attacks — squishy teams lose members right here.
- Mechanics: The Great Septimus applies many debuffs; bring a cleanse character and use dispel at key moments.
Echo of War Deep Dive#
Echo of War can be challenged three times per week and is a major source of trace materials and relic leveling items. Each Echo of War is an enhanced version of a main story boss, with upgraded mechanics.
Echo of War Drop Quick Reference#
| Echo of War | Corresponding boss | Trace materials dropped | Day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Destruction’s Beginning | Doomsday Beast | Destruction, The Hunt | Sunday |
| End of the Eternal Freeze | Cocolia | Abundance, Preservation, The Hunt | Monday |
| Undying Divine Seed | Phantylia | Harmony, Destruction, Nihility | Friday |
| Harmonic Echo | The Great Septimus | Harmony, Erudition, Nihility | Sunday |
Weekly Boss Notes#
- You get three weekly boss tickets per week; they don’t stack, so clear them every week.
- Weekly bosses drop “Traces of Flowing Light”, exchangeable for trace level-up materials in the Xianzhou shop.
- Weekly boss difficulty scales with your Equilibrium Level; if you’re undergeared, just pick a lower Equilibrium difficulty.
Simulated Universe Elites and Bosses#
Elites and bosses in the Simulated Universe come with enhanced mechanics — they’re the weekly route to Planar Ornaments.
Elite Enemy Counters#
- Ice Outworlder: an Ice-type elite that spams Freeze and Slow. Bring a cleanse character or equip effect-resistance relics in advance.
- Flame Outworlder: a Fire-type elite that specializes in Burn and AoE. Burn is ongoing damage, so healing pressure is high.
- Devourer’s Shadow: a Quantum-type elite whose attacks apply Entanglement — entangled units take extra damage, so dispel it fast.
- Aurumaton Spectral Envoy: an Imaginary-type Xianzhou elite specializing in Imprisonment; imprisoned characters miss a huge number of turns.
- Dreamjolt Troupe members: Penacony’s stage-themed elites with all sorts of gimmicks. Check the weakness and skill notes before entering a new area.
Simulated Universe Boss Notes#
- Gatekeeper: weaknesses and mechanics are randomized each run — read its stat panel before engaging.
- Kafka: mind-controls your characters; when you can’t cleanse it, kill the controlled teammate to break free.
- Svarog: the mechanical claw locks down one character; break toughness fast to free them.
- Argenti: always interrupt his charge with high toughness-damage skills.
Universal Boss-Fight Takeaways#
| Takeaway | What to do |
|---|---|
| Opening Techniques | Use the right Techniques pre-fight to seize initiative |
| Interrupt charges | Watch the toughness bar and casts; focus toughness damage on charge-ups |
| Clear adds first | Against summoning bosses, kill the adds before burning the main body |
| Cleanse and dispel | High-difficulty bosses basically require a dispel or cleanse |
| Hold Ultimates | Keep shields and heals ready for full-screen AoEs |
Boss Rewards Summary#
