Dave / 戴夫#

The protagonist. Dave is a cheerful and enthusiastic diver who runs a sushi restaurant with his friend Bancho. He is known for his optimism, love of the sea, and bottomless stomach.

Duff is a farmer who grows crops and raises fish. He supplies the restaurant with fresh produce and helps Dave set up his own farm. Down-to-earth and hardworking, Duff is the backbone of the food supply chain.

Most dialogue choices in Dave the Diver do not have permanent consequences, but some affect immediate rewards or unlock conditions.

• “Yes, tell me” — Unlocks Cobra’s backstory quest immediately
• “Only if you want to share” — Quest unlocks later with additional rewards

• “I will help you pay” — Spend 2000 Gold, unlocks exclusive seeds
• “I can help another way” — Fight the loan sharks, earn 1000 Gold instead

Dialogue Tips / 对话技巧#

• Always choose the helpful, optimistic option. It never penalizes you. 始终选择乐于助人、乐观的选项，从不惩罚你。
• Saying “I need more information” usually leads to additional lore but no gameplay changes. 说"我需要更多信息"通常会获得额外背景故事，但不会改变游戏内容。

Talk to every character after major story events. Their dialogue changes frequently, and some quests only trigger after specific conversations. Building relationships with characters unlocks better prices, better gear, and exclusive recipes.
